So Much More than A Hair Salon
by HRM0220
I am new to the area and needed my highlights done badly. I have been having my hair done by the same person for the last 10 years so going somewhere new terrified me. I found Lambs Eat Ivy on City Search and I am so thankful I did. Everyone that works there went out of their way for me and every other customer. Gregg is an amazing artist and such a good listener! He not only revolutionized by boring locks but he gave me local restaurant and house buying advice! I highly recommend Gregg!!!! The receptionist Sierra is so sweet and accomodating! I also received the most relaxing hair washing of my life! Their products are incredible! My wavy hair is now pretty much resistant to the Florida humidity! I would have never thought that was possible! I walked out of the salon feeling like A New & Improved Me and as if I had spent a week at the spa! Everyone that walked out of the salon looked gorgeous! Visit Lambs Eat Ivy!!! This Salon is full of creative and accomodating stylists!! You don't know what you are missing!!
- Pros: Great Service, Great Color, Great Products
- Cons: Pricey, but definitely worth it
Great Overall Experience

We are new to Orlando, and I found Lambs Eat Ivy via Citysearch. I made an appointment with Brianna for a haircut and color.
The salon is in a really great spot in Thornton Park, and yes, it is a city neighborhood, so expect to park on the street. For me, this isn't an issue. From the moment I walked in everyone there was friendly and welcoming. I waited (with a beverage and magazines) for a matter of moments before Brianna was ready for my consultation.
Brianna is lovely, and very professional. I made myself pretty clear on what I didn't want considering I am trying to grow out my hair, and felt comfortable proceeding with her suggestions. She even offered to show me a picture of what she was envisioning, which I really appreciate.
The salon itself is relatively small, but does have a cool vibe, as other reviewers have noted. For me, I wish the stylists' stations were a bit more private, as you do feel like you're overhearing everyone else's conversations. With that being said, however, everyone (including clients) were friendly without being intrusive.
I have read that others were appalled to learn a Stylist Assistant was going to cut their hair. I too would not approve of that. However, I saw no such thing in the several hours I was in the salon. The assistants are all very contentious to the clients' needs and dedicated to learning from the stylists. My trips to the shampoo bowl included fabulous scalp massages by Marvin, a very pleasant young man new to the salon.
The long and short of it is this, Brianna was amazing! My color is really rich and actually complements my skin tone. The cut was VERY well done. I have lived all over the United States, from Chicago to Denver, and I have yet to find someone who actually took the time to consider my hair type as well as what I hope to do with it. She is really talented! Also, every single client I saw walk out the door looked amazing, so I don't think you could go wrong with anyone there. In addition to Brianna, Gregg and Jacko also did amazing work.
The only downside to Lambs Eat Ivy is that the prices are very high, in my opinion. With that being said, you do get what you pay for and I certainly can't claim I didn't know the services would be expensive, but I was pretty shocked to hear my total for services considering I have short hair. Frequenting Lambs is definitely a monetary investment in your physical appearance and self confidence!
So, if you are looking for stylists who actually know what they are doing and a salon that is modern without being obnoxious or pretentious, make an appointment at Lambs Eat Ivy!!
- Pros: Friendly Staff, Quality Products, Talented Stylists
- Cons: Pretty Pricey
The BEST in town
by LauraB3333
I was blonde for twenty years and decided to break from the typical mold and be a redhead.....for the past year I have been to 3 excellent hairdressers who could not get it right. When I went to Lisa I was ready to throw in the towel and go back to blonde, Lisa spent a huge amount of time consulting with me. Lisa did not tell me what I wanted to hear, she told me the truth. I am and achitect/designer and I know how difficult it is to tell clients the truth, it is much easier (and less time consuming) to take their money and not defend your vision. I very much like my new hair and friends that all loved it, A very difficult color to pull off and Lisa did it. I also was very impressed with the Davine's products... I am used to using Pureology and I think the Davine's is a much better price and superior product. I am a perfectionist when it comes to color and I strongly suggest Lisa.
- Pros: Attitude Talent Atmosphere
- Cons: Parking
pretty salon. friendly staff. amazing hair

I loved this salon. I have had the same stylist for years until he moved to Grand Cayman. I live in College Park, so I tried Alchemy because it seemed hip and fashion-forward. The first time I went, I had an ok cut and color... but I was appalled at the snooty attitude of the receptionist. I went back one more time to try again, and the stylist basically did whatever she wanted. I couldn't believe it! After a few reccomendations, I decided to try Lambs Eat Ivy, and I am glad I did!
First off, although this is a chic, hip salon, the pretentious attitude is nowhere to be seen. Everyone is friendly, helpful, and most of all just seems happy to have you there. Gregg was awesome! he gave me a cut that totally complemented my face, and brought my color back down to earth where the natural colors live (no more foil streaks for me!!)
I am truly happy I found my new salon home.. I cannot wait to go back for another visit!!
- Pros: eco-friendly, sustainable, ambience, staff
- Cons: you pay for what you get and you get great so you pay for it!
very cool experience

the girls at lambs eat ivy are very courteous to the customer. especially if it's your first time. i went here on a whim, after reading good reviews to this place. before, my barber friend always cut my hair, and now i had to find a new place since he moved to houston. they are very friendly and do a great job with the cutting and styling. lisa, the owner and one of the barbers did my hair and i really love how it came out. she knows what she's doing.
thanks very much guys. looking forward to my clean up a couple weeks from now.
- Pros: a lot
- Cons: a little pricey for a cut, but well worth it to make sure you look your best.
Walk in with your head hung low, Walk out Stunning! ;)

Even though I've lived here for years, I never found a salon/stylist that I loved enough to keep coming back to. Mind you, I've studied abroad and have had a salon that I kept coming back to in London, even in Miami, but no such luck in Orlando. Until I randomly discovered this little gem in Thornton Park. I like the nice upscale-ish salons - I just don't like their snooty stylists/colorists and god-forbid that the receptionist actually be nice.
But it's like a whole different vibe here. It's not contrived yet still finds a great stylistic niche for itself. The ambiance is great, the stylists, colorists, even the assistants have a great eye, a positive attitude, and an incredible personality. The receptionist - Sierra - love her. Totally sweet and helpful. The owner is really down to earth, funny, and a stylistic talent in her own right, no uppity-ness here!
I've only worked with Jacko (stylist/color) - and I LOVE her. She seems to know exactly what to do to my mop of hair - cuts, colors and styles it into another amazing look. (Ah, the complements I get).
Honestly, I trust the talent in this salon - if it was an emergency and Jacko wasn't available, I wouldn't mind checking out the other miraculous hands in the salon - since everyone comes out looking stunning (male & female) :)
In fact whenever my old roomie from Ireland comes into town - we drive down to Lambs first and then head to lunch. :) And if they had appointments on Monday - my bro would love to go too ;)
So go - talk to Sierra - book an appointment with any of their fabulous talent and when you get there relax with a cup of green tea and walk out feeling like a better You.
all the best - lst
- Pros: Ambience, Service, (Free Bangz Trim after your cut), Staff
- Cons: Parking: I just find a spare street spot, Price: It may be a tad more - but considering how I feel when I walk out - it's worth it!
Best Hair Salon in town!!!
by MsKitty1213
This was my first time at the salon. The service, staff and environment was excellent. It has been about a month since my first cut and I still love it. I forgot to mention, great products.
You should go ASAP!
- Pros: Ambience
- Cons: Parking
Absolutely Fabulous!
by thortonparkmom
I just receintly started having my hair done at Lambs Eat Ivy and I can tell you it has been years(maybe decades) since I have been as happy with my hair. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The receptionist, Sierra is awesome! Thank you Lambs for making a 40 year old mom feel hot!!
- Pros: very stylish, but still comfortable.
- Cons: a little expensive, but well worth it.
Overpriced, over-rated, and waste of time -
by anybodywithabrain
forget consistency, respecting your time or for that matter why you're there... oh you wanted that haircut? oh well you have to understand just because you show me a photo I just use that as my spring board ... (and then take free liberty with your hair) leaving you with a very average at best; and what shade is that?? I won't even bore you with the details of how many ways they can f-up a colour. Jacko & Gregg seem nice and their clients seem to like them. Just read all the reviews and see if you think it's worth the coin.
- Pros: good music, funky decor
- Cons: pushy on expensive products, unnecessary waits, let 'trainees' do your hair - lame
Jacqo is the Queen of Hair!
by nicfitz
I was a client of Jacqo's today and was ASTONISHED at the absolute magic she performed on my hair. In addition to being an absolute artist, she listens intently when discussing your wants to her. I could elaborate, but I'll make it short and sweet. Bottom line: BEST cut EVER, BEST haircolor EVER.
- Pros: EVERYTHING, but the parking of course
- Cons: Parking
