Move over Emeril, Richie's in the kitchen!
by Willster at Citysearch
You simply have to try this restaurant. Just had dinner here last night after 2 weeks touring all the finest rest. in Aspen CO. Short story, there is no better restaurant - bar none. Chef Greg Richie's brought many of the exquisite Asian - Pacific fusion flavors he developed and made famous at Roy's rest, and turned it up a notch. Phenomenal apps. and a very different salad, but the kicker is the grouper entree. Perfectly cooked fish with a sweet, yet subtle flavor. Also, not normally desert people, but decided to try the home made sorbets. Incredible, light and satisfying! If you want a dinner experience that sets the bar above all the other restaurants, this is it. Service was also right on, which can sometimes be missing in Orlando.
WONDERFUL- will definately go back!

we had 8 people dining, they brought us the BEST food and best drinks and had just the most amazing atmosphere.
Manuels, capital grille, vitos chop house....they are all good- but EMERILs is amazing

Well, I have to say I research and try to find some of the best places to eat utilizing the City Search guide regularly being a traveler and the reviews of Tchoup Chop made me feel a little uneasy. We got the the restaraunt about an hour before our reservations so we could have a cocktail at the bar and take in the atmosphere. The bartender recomended some drinks for us that we tried, I had the Saki and Pam had the wine both of which were great selections. From there we were seated within a half hour and from the three waiters who took care of us (Ali, Billy and Jeff) the experience was extrodinary, the food impecable, the management was attentive along with extremely professional helping out throughout the restaraunt, what a hands on guy Jeff was! Needless to say everything from the lobster crusted pork medalions to the vine ripe tomatoe salad to the wok fried duck and the roasted chicken to the blue mountain espresso made me think I was in heaven. Recomendation, are you kidding me, if you have not been here, make it a point or a destination, I PROMISE you won't be disapointed! Michael
- Pros: From parking to dinner everything was perfect!
- Cons: I can't think of anything to critisize about this wonderful establishment

My husband and I went to the Tchoup chop on October 5th for our 10 year anniversay. We almost didnt go after reading the reviews on this page but boy am i glad i didnt let someone elses judgement make my decision for me. By far this was the BEST meal i have ever had. The wait staff was spectacular and not pushy at all. The cook even sent out a special appetizer to congratulate us. Thank you all at Emerils for the most amazing night.
- Pros: EVERYTHING
- Cons: It had to end.
Good Service - Almost Too Good.

I hate to sound like a whiny food critic, but the service here was actually too good. We had 2 waiters and 2 servers. They often kept asking us the same things over and over. After a while, it was like, "Enough already. Leave us alone." That aside, the entire experience was amazing. The food was superb and yes, it was expensive. You definitely pay for the service here. They also have a great selection of Sake. The design of the room is breathtaking. Whoever did the design concept of the restaurant should get an Oscar. If you're on vacation in Orlando and want to splurge on someone special, take them here. But, make sure to call ahead a couple weeks and make a reservation.
- Pros: Excellent service, beautiful design and wonderful food.
- Cons: Hella expensive! And the waiters like to push the pricey stuff on you.
Amazing

Absolutely the best dining experience I have ever had. The food, atmosphere and service even exceeded my already high expectations. The Tchoup Chop salad was excellent as was the soup of the day. The "Clay pot of the day" entree was good, but there are much better entrees on the menu. Everything on the menu sounded great. The most impressive part about dinner was the service. Anyone visiting Orlando should definitely make time to eat here. Its expensive, but worth every penny, and then some.
- Pros: Service, Vast Menu, Atmosphere
- Cons: Not close to Detroit
