Good food and service but steaks not cooked to order and problem not corrected...
by scottmichael2 at Citysearch
First of all, we went at lunch time when it wasn't busy at all (there were only 2 tables occupied - ours being one of them). The service was excellent from start to finish (including being very jovial with the kids). The food was very good and moderately portioned. I felt like the lunch prices were a bit steep, but we sort of expected that. If it weren't for the prices, we would definitely go back.
Now, the bad...
My son ordered his steak rare. It arrived medium rare (at best). I sent it back and a couple minutes later the waiter came back (with the steak cut in two) and said that the cook said that it was rare and that we just hadn't cut deep enough into the meat. This was absolutely false. The meat was not rare at all. It was medium rare to medium. I gave up the fight and said okay. Truthfully, I should have asked for a manager and I regret not having done so (especially for the price that we paid for that steak). By the way, I ordered my steak medium rare, and it arrived medium.
At any rate, for someone like me who can't afford such extravagances very often, I seriously doubt I'll ever go back. To me it wasn't worth the $150 (for lunch) that I "dished" out. I'm only giving a 7 rating for three reasons: high prices for lunch, a steak not cooked to order, and the problem not being properly addressed. Otherwise, the score would have been 9 or 10.
- Pros: Ambience, Service, Food
- Cons: Steak not cooked to order and cook refused to correct, lunch prices

Food was good. Pork chop was the servers recommendation but it was very sweet. Dessert was very good. Overall food was good. Good to go atleast once to try it out.
- Pros: Good Atmostphere, Easy Free Parking
Emeril Lagasse combines exotic South Seas flavors with a touch of jazz in this luxurious resort restaurant.
by Contributor at Citysearch
The Scene
Lagasse's second Orlando outpost is hidden in the depths of family-friendly Royal Pacific resort and made up like a lush cavern. A very long, gurgling lily pond surrounded by low booths runs through the center. Subdued strains of Dixie jazz are juxtaposed with the nouveau tiki decor to create an unmistakable atmosphere.
The Food
The kitchen tweaks a number of Pacific Rim standards (crispy whole fish, pork variations), adding enough sides to turn most dishes into platters. Starters such as Polynesian crab cakes with ginger-scallion and papaya salsa appetizers deftly blend mildly sweet seafood and spiced fruit. The wok produces at least two successes--snapper with Asian pesto and Gulf shrimp and smoked ham-vegetable-noodle combo. The famous banana-cream pie slice is rich, piled high with fruit and large enough for two people.
