Overall, the equipment is new; which is nice, but the service needs work. The level of customer service has drastically diminished and the high-pressure sales tactics are unbearable. I’ve tried to have my friends join so I can have more gym buddies to help me stay motivated, but there tactics have scared all of my friends away from LA Fitness. I sat through a couple of sales presentations, because I was hoping to work out when we were done. It was truly an unpleasant experience! I would have expected the same type of high-pressure sales when I was buying a used car, but not signing up for the local gym. Let your product sell it self… no need for bullying techniques. I’ve actually considered switching gyms because of it. Plus, I can work out with my friends at another gym. It would be nice if they also added a way to listen to TV’s from the cardio machines. They have over 10 TV’s without subtitles or a way to hear the sound. Watching the News only does so much.
