Amazing Slides!
by jbxloveee
i go here soo much. i know it like the back of my hand :]
this place has soo many fun rides and a definate place to go with a enormous groups of friends. but as for older people, i do not believe this is a place for you. the rides are more for teens and younger children.
- Pros: Rides and Lazy River
- Cons: Lines in the summer!
Disney elevates the water park to a true piece of themed entertainment.

The Appeal
The park features more than 20 soaking attractions that cater to thrill-seekers and lazy loungers. The centerpiece is the Summit Plummit, a 350-foot flume slide (disguised as a ski jump) in which riders exceed speeds of 60 mph. Other highlights: Teamboat Springs, a 1,200-foot rapids ride (the longest such ride in the world); Slush Gusher, a flume with a double-hump track; Runoff Rapids with three twisty tube slides, including one set in total darkness; Downhill Double Dipper, a dual-track slide race; Toboggan Racers, a downhill straightaway in which eight riders compete simultaneously; and Snow Stormers, three curvy slides that mimic ski slalom courses.
Facts and Features
In addition to slides, guests can swim in Melt Away Bay, an occasionally tumultuous one-acre wave pool, or cruise along Cross-County Creek, an enjoyable lazy river that runs around the perimeter of the park.
Perfect Break from Long Lines
by dogbrick
I have to say that Blizzard Beach was the perfect break in a week of walking in the hot sun and standing in endless lines. After full days at other Disney and Universal parks, it is a great geeling to just lay in the sun or float down a lazy river for hours.
The slides are a blast too. They have everything from individual races to rafts that hold the whole family as you streak down. I doubt I would go here if I only had a day or 2 in Orlando because there are much better parks, but if you are doing a week of park-hopping I would definitely recommend taking a vacation from your vacation and stopping here for a day.
- Pros: Relaxing
No Beach Blanket Bingo here

Our family found Blizzard Beach the least attractive of all of the parks in Disney World.
Although we were excited about going there, by the time we arrived at 11:00am there were no lounge chairs available, so we had no comfortable place to put down at.
The park is relatively small and there isn't a good amount of rides so all the lines are long and there arent' attractions like at the other parks.
My kids did enjoy the wave pool, but there was no place to relax for adults as the area around the pool was packed, it kind of felt like a day at the Jersey shore.
We ended up leaving in a sort while and felt like that we wanted to relax and have some fun in the water, we would have been better off staying by the pool at the resort.
- Pros: Water Rides
- Cons: Very Crowded
