This was my third time dining upstairs (work gift certificates) and it will be my last. The food is average, I had the NY strip and my girlfriend had the lamb. Both were about average suffering mostly from high prices and sides that were better than the main dinner item (awesome horseradish mashed potatoes). Also, there isnt anything on the dessert side that is worth trying for $10-$15. In all, we spent $190 minus $75 for the certificate , minus $45 for the tip, so we definitely are not cheap rookies. My other complaint is that they do not enforce their dress code. This is okay if you are eating downstairs but not if you are spending the money upstairs, not to mention, why have one if you intend to allow Disney tourists to dine there in t-shirts and shorts? The skinny of it all? Eat here if you are already there and don't want to leave the area, if not, save the gas money and dine at Charley's or Houstons where you will find a far better dinner experience, it will be cheaper and you wont regret having spent the money. Better yet, eat at Coq Au Vin and fall in love with a true Orlando treasure.
Pros: interesting sides
Cons: dress code, high prices

This is my favorite for sushi, and if you go to the sushi bar you get seated right away and they take care of you right there, avoiding the other reveiwer's service gripes.
Pros: Great food, fun atmosphere
Cons: Its Disney, so it's very loud and usually crowded

I am so glad to see the other reviews about the bad service, so overall the service pretty much is terrible!! I went there on one of their busiest nights: They run out of bread, out of the chicken, and the waiter only said "it was a busy night", shouldn't they know that? Expect that? I called the Manager that didn't seem concerned at all either... I left feeling so bad because I invited my 5 best friends to dinner and the night was horrible!!! I WOULD NEVER GO BACK THERE, AND WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GO BACK THERE!
Pros: The restaurant loosk good
Cons: But the service was Horrible, not worth your time or money

This was one of the most horrible dinner I have ever had. I started of with a "duck confit" app. it was bland, the duck tasted horrible, it was more like a chicken salad. then I had a N.Y. steak which was undercooked and had RAW crumbles of bluecheese . the steak was smothered in mustard and demi was tasteless. what are they thinking charging me $30+ dollars for that? Also the service was a little bit off. the plate wern't cleared on time. the waiter was no were to be found etc..... I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody.
Pros: nice view

This also applies to upstairs: Dont waste your money. Both appetizers (duck confit and a macadamia nut scallop dish) were very bland, although the duck did have a strange/off taste) Our entrees were no better. The salmon in filo was very forgettable and the signature weinerschnitzel dish was nothing to write home about. We were both very disappointed, especially after making and enjoying many of his recipes from two of his cookbooks. With wine and tip, the bill came to $150 the meal was not worth half that
Pros: Nice Staff
Cons: Bad food

Applies to Upstairs: While the food is OK - serving sizes are wwwwaaaayyy too big - the service is just plaine horrible! Our server truly believed he was of a superior race. I am a resaurantuer and a Master Som. cantidate, facts that I kept hidden, and he continually gave erroneous information on wines. Frankly, I think he was making it up as he went. He belittled both me and my wife routinely throughout the evening, insulting our wine knowledge and likes and dislikes. Worst of all, the manager was just as arogant. Incedently, we also overheard other tables with the same complaints - about other servers. Our check for 2 was $350. SAVE YOUR MONEY, go to Victoria and Alberts @ Disney, save a $100 and have a phenominal evening instead.

I was a long-time devotee of the quick-service cafe, and one day decided to go out with friends to the sit-down part of the restaurant. What a joke! The pizzas were exactly the same, and the only thing I got different was a Cosmo, which was wayyyy too strong. Stick to the cafe, and try the mashed potatoes. They're excellent!!

It's Disney so of course it's noisy and crowded. But it's a very fun and lively atmosphere. One time my boyfriend and I sat ate at the bar and got to watch the pizza boy bake pizzas right before our eyes. I think their chicken tortilla soup is wonderful!!! the bruschetta is flavorful and I've had a turkey burger that was moist juicy and fairly tasty. Try the place at least once.
Pros: Lively, lots of variety
Cons: Sometimes crowded, tables close together

Not sure if versatile is the right word, but I've been here on several occasions and it was vastly different each time. 1st time, we were looking for something quick, so I went over to the Express side and got a pizza. 2nd time, we had a business/team dinner (50 people) there which was held in a private room and very elegant. Had a three course meal paired with wine, main course was filet mignon and salmon - very good. Try the Inniskillin Icewine with dessert -- it's delicious (a little pricey though -- $15/glass!). This last time I went, I sat at the sushi bar and had friendly conversation with the sushi chef. Sushi was just OK but he hooked me up with a couple creative pieces which was nice of him. So overall, I've had a good time at this place no matter what the occasion.
