Great Facility.. Not So Great Customer Service

by EntrepreneurChris

I recently visited this Bally's facility not too long ago after getting a free 7-day guest pass online from the Bally's website. As soon as I entered the building, I was immediately pressured by one of the sales associates into becoming a member. The associate gave me a tour around the facility and introduced to me the various classes that they offer. After that we went into one of the few offices that they have and he was pressuring me for my contact and payment information so that he could get the "process" moving. After trying to back out, I was being offered different specials and incentives that weren't offered to start with. After leaving the gym in disappointment because they made me feel like the 7-day guest pass wasn't valid and was pretty much forcing me to sign up the same day. I will no longer go back to this gym because of this experience and will find a much better gym that better suits my needs.

  • Pros: Clean, Machines Are In Good Shape
  • Cons: Poor Customer Service

This budget gym trims the fat off its patrons at streamlined facilities.

The Scene
Most Ballys stick to the basics for their design. Televisions broadcast silently above multiple rows of cardio machines; mirrored walls act as the primary decorative components. But thanks to high-energy television ads and low-impact membership premiums, this national fitness chain has steadily attracted a clientele bent on saving money while losing weight or gaining muscle.

The Workout
Using fairly standard strength-training equipment and/or racks well-stocked with free weights, the best of the trainers here, who are classified at four different levels, can be as skillful as those found at costlier gyms. For group classes, signature exercise options include Spinning and Powerflex, as well as a number of patented routines inspired by Tae Kwon Do.

Nice pool

by blockst

I travel to Orlando frequently. I use this gym usually to pass time before my flight back home. This gym is nice and is close to the airport. The pool area is real nice. They have a good hot tub, but the hot tube is a little to deep so they put step aerobic steps in to adjust the height of the area that you sit in.

  • Pros: Nice gym and pool. Close to the airport.
  • Cons: I live in another city and wish Baltimore had a gym like this.

too old

by emails5108

This fitness center on Semoran is too old. Many lockers in women's bathroom don't work; work out area looks plain and boring likes a big factory building. The interior is totally not pleasant. But the staffs are very nice and friendly. Swimming pool is standard size and clean. Various group classes to take.

  • Pros: parking, nice staffs, various group classes
  • Cons: , broken lockers
