Aviary, fishponds, waterfalls and endless marble bring a relaxing yin and yang approach to International Drive madness.

The Scene
Across from Sea World, this hotel is among the finest off harried International Drive. A wooded entrance hiding a brick driveway and splashing fountain lets guests know this isn't the typical tourist hotel. Check-in begins with a journey through the marble-tiled lobby with a 10-story atrium containing waterfalls, palms, aviary and burbling koi pond, and ends with a refreshing glass of champagne.

The Details
All 778 guest rooms encircle the atrium. Some offer ivy-draped balconies, while others overlook Sea World. Large marble bathrooms contain Bath & Bodyworks toiletries; mornings begin with complimentary coffee and newspaper. Two noteworthy restaurants include Atlantis, which serves a selection of French gourmet, and Tradewinds, offering American cuisine. Diversions include volleyball, 18-hole golf course, and playground and arcade for kids. The nearby Convention Center and on-site meeting facilities attract business clientele, but the pampering and spa-like atmosphere make sure the suits don't get the upper hand.
