I can just tell that she would never be happy anywhere. Horrible review I could care less about her Princess experience. A servers worst nightmare!

I was hoping to go back to Ruth's Chris but we had out of towners visiting who were at an I-drive hotel. They wanted to stay close and asked us to meet them at Texas de Brazil. I'd never been here before but I'm sure glad I went. First thing to know, lot's of tourists as you would expect given the location. You pay one fixed price which allows you to graze at the unbelievable salad/appetizer/lot's of good stuff bar. And I do mean lot's of goodies. I made the mistake of loading up because everything looked so good. But the main course(courses, really) come out next and I was already full! The waiters march by and present various cuts of beef and chicken ( I think it was 9 different items) that are sliced right onto your plate. It's a unique experience, at least for me. The service was good albeit a bit too structured via an obvious script. But our server was pleasant and she made certain we wanted for nothing. Desserts and beverages are not included in tjhe price but dessert wasn't on our minds by the time we got to the end- there was so much food! If your with a large group this would be a fun place to go. Our little table of 4 was among the smallest tables there. The noise level is deafening and makes conversation difficult. But the good news is there is so much to eat I figured we could just talk later in the bar-lol. We had a great time. I wouldn't call this fine dining but it is upscale with great food presented in a uniquely Brazilian style. I'd definetly return.

Pros: Lot's of food! Great place for large groups

Cons: Hard to hear - very noisy inside

I VIST BRASIL ONCE A YEAR AND LOVED THE IDEA OF TEXAS DE BRASIL. BECAUSE I TOLD MY FRIENDS ABOUT IT IN BRASIL. I LIKE THE IDEA OF VISTING TEXAS DE BRASIL AND DREAMING THAT I AM IN BRASIL. BUT ONE THING MAKE ME GIVE 4 STARS NOT 5. IS TO MANY AMERICANS WORKING THE FLOOR. DONT GET ME WRONG I THINK AMERICAN GOVERMENT GIVES AWAY TO MANY JOBS TO OVERSEA. BUT IF I WANT AMERICAN FOOD SERVICE I WILL GO TO APPLEBEES. BUT IF I WANT SOMETHING SPECIAL AND THE FEELING OF A TRUE BRASILIAN FOOD . I WOULD LIKE TO SEE ONLY BRASILIAN SERVE ME. ONE BECAUSE ARE BY NATURE HAPPY AND GREAT PEOPLE .SO NO MORE AMERICANS.

Pros: FOOD

Cons: TO MANY AMERICANS

Anyone who leaves Texas De Brazil hungry didn't want to eat! You're seated quickly to be greeted right away by a server who gets your drink order and then tells you to start eating! The salad bar is fresh and crisp with so many options! Fresh cheeses, vegetables, pasta salads, sushi, and more! Once you're done there the meat extravaganza begins! Any kind of meat you could ask for is presented to you to pick and choose! Very hip yet casual! Couldn't have asked for better food or a better experience!

As an Orlando native, I was excited to try a place I hadn't been to before. Because it is located on I-Drive, I expected it to be gimmicky, and it was. It would have been nice if the service matched the hype. We had a party of 10, and from the moment we walked in the staff was unenthused, uninformative, and impatient. The atmosphere is loud, and the server spoke so quietly that most of our party couldn't hear him. It would have helped to know how the place worked, since he knew none of us had been there before. Almost every request of the staff, such as more water and splitting the check, was responded to as if it was completely ridiculous. The food, however, was pretty good. In fact, the meat carvers seemed to be the only ones doing their job. Beware, most of the meat is rare to medium rare. If well done is your thing, supposedly you can request it be cooked longer, but it is obvious that none of the staff will really wants to do this for you. The bottom line is, because you end up spending $150 per couple easily, you expect to be treated a little better. Especially since this a gimmicky restaurant, not high end dining.

Pros: Okay food

Cons: Service, price

I have seen this place advertised in the airline mags and always wanted to visit. We had the chance 8/07 and we thought it was the best food we have ever had. The salad bar was awesome, the meats incredible. Next time, I'll go lighter on the salad bar but even vegetarians would be happy here! It wasn't cheap by any means but was less than I expected. No trip to a location with a Texas de Brazil will ever be passed over by us. I was just glad we were only there for 3 days or we would certainly have eaten there again on this trip! Enjoy. Free parking is right next door so just pull into the shopping center and avoid the parking charge - or take the trolley which stops across the street and picks up right in front of the restaurant (as long as you don't mind waiting for it).

Service: Prompt and efficient. Food: The copious salad and vegetable bar should suit anyone's tastes but the skewered meats proferred by roving servers tended to be overly salty (a Brazilian tradition?). All of the meats were tender and available to any degree of doneness -- a meat-eater's paradise, as there seemed to be no limit on quantities. Ambiance: The place is quite noisy and the tables are close together, so it may not be the best choice for a romantic dinner for two. Not many children were in evidence, and customer attire ranged from tee shirts and shorts (de riguer on International Drive) to women dressed to the nines. Value: Slightly pricy for a light eater at $50 a head (excluding wine), but a better value for big eaters. Extra credit: They cheerfully honored our $100 gift certificate even though it had expired six months earlier (we called in advance to check). Bottom line: Recommended for a one-time visit, but I'll take the Outback Steakhouse (at half the price) the next time I go out for steak.

Having been to several other Brazilian churrascarias, I was very excited to try this one. Texas de Brazil has some ups and some downs. On the up side most of the food was very well prepared (the filet mignon was outstanding - by far the best thing), the salad bar was quite nice, well stocked (they were very busy), the food tasty and exceptionally clean and the service was quite good (our waiter was knowledgeable and very helpful, although it seemed a bit rehersed and overly dramatic at times). On the down side: even though we had a reservation we had to wait, there are few chairs to sit in while you wait (this was a problem as one of my dining companions is handicapped), the restaurant is VERY LOUD (not condusive to conversation), the tables a bit too close together for my liking, a lot of the meats were very oversalted (I rarely complain that food is too salty), the gauchos seemed to pay a lot more attention to the larger tables leaving the smaller groups lusting after certain meats (our waiter did assist us in this and went off to find the meats we wanted to try) and lastly we felt a little rushed (as I said it was busy and I think they wanted to turn the table, but this kind of dining is a rather leisurly one, especially since you are waiting for the gauchos to bring you food). Overall, not bad but, not great.

Pros: Pretty good food

Cons: Loud and crowded doesn't add much to the dining experience

Editor's Review

Brazilian gauchos carve as much grilled meat as you can eat. And if that's not enough, there's a huge salad bar too.  See the full editorial review.

Insider Tips

Know Before You Go

Some of the carved meats may have unfamiliar names, but your server can explain the menu. A salad-bar-only option is available for light eaters, too.
