Best Oysters in Orlando
by AVFoodie
I live in NY and FL, I have been going to Lee & Rick's for ten years now and the Oysters have always been fantastic. They have cooked foods like crab and shrimp for the faint of heart, but the Oysters are the star. There are many types of Oysters in the world and I have had unbelievable meals around the world. When in Orlando Lee & Ricks is a must do if you love food as the locals eat it.
- Pros: Great place to bring a friend and enjoy a simple meal.
- Cons: Not enough seating at the Oyster Bar.
Not my favorite.

Quite a well known place for oysters. Been around for ever it seems. I wasn't over impressed to be honest. The oysters were kinda average and the staff were not really that friendly. I preferred the Thirsty Gator on Goldenrod Winter Park.
- Pros: not many. Wouldn't go back
- Cons: not great oysters
Whether you "eat 'em raw" or prefer them steamed, this local dive is a rare pearl in Orlando.

In Short
Walk the plank into this restaurant that looks more like a shipwreck than a ship. But here's, it's not about the ambiance. It's about the oysters. Lee & Rick's, a family owned operation, has been shucking buckets of Apalachiola's finest eastern oysters for more than half a century. Grab a stool and sit at the cement bar where you can see the eatery's history in the thick layers of chipped paint. The menu is extremely limited--crab cakes, fried shrimp and little more--but the succulent mollusks are a must. Servers, who can crack them open faster than you can eat them, are friendly and remember faces.
