I'm not sure how Harmon is considered a professional camera store. Some of the most basic knowledge of current camera technology is ignored. Colonial Photo would be a much better bet. Yes, it can be a little chaotic but that's only because they have earned a reputation for being the best in the business and on Saturdays it gets pretty crowded. It's a fun place to shop and if they don't have it then you don't need it. The prices are in line with every other camera store unless you want to buy a camera from Best Buy or online somewhere. The fact that these people know their stuff and will be there if you have a problem or a question is well worth a few dollars more.

Best Camera Store in Town, they are very friendly and knowledgible. They have exceptional quality - I can not even believe the previous email (sounds like the reviewer might have some issues of their own) as Harmons is always very professional and courteous, they have great prices and offer wonderful photography classes. I would recommend it to anyone and agree that Colonial is a rip-off and a chaotic, their is so much stuff and the staff is also focused on other "hobbies" other than photography. Harmons has earned the reputation of Orlando's best Camera store.

Pros: Friendly Knowledgible Staff

Like the previous reviewer, I thought they were friendly at first. Turns out they don't know what they're doing. Super high prices for slide scanning at inferior quality. The gentleman got into an argument with me when I told him such low scan quality was unacceptable. Instead of using a high resolution, they are using a low quality scan and setting it to a large size, somehow trying to reason that will make for a decent quality print. 72dpi at 600x800 does not make even a somewhat okay looking 8x10! Avoid!!! Do not understand photographic theory! Amateur place with outrageous prices.

Cons: Low Quality, Overpriced, Argumentative

In Orlando there are really only two places to go for your photographic needs: Harmon or Colonial Photo and Hobby. CPH will rip you off or just plain ignore you, whereas Harmon has always been a huge help. They are easier for me to get to and all of the film I have had developed came out just fine. I have found their staff to be incredibly knowledgeable, and friendly. They even have a student discount (5%). They carry a pretty decent variety in a small package. I would say I have spent at least a couple hundred dollars there if not more. I will not go back to Colonial, however. Very highly recommended- I tell just about everyone to go Harmon instead.

Pros: helpful staff, variety of services, good film selection, best prices in town

Cons: not a large selection of darkroom stuff (just get it online)

I've had several rolls of medium format film developed and printed there. At first, I thought they were friendly, and the lines across my prints were an accident. Then, I thought the missed photos that were not printed were an accident. But when I took cross-processed images in for enlargement and got back horrible, badly color-corrected images (I did not want cc) that were WAY overpriced, I decided that they just don't know what they are doing. I've had fingerprints on prints, condescending service, and I've had them claim not to use machines, they say they can't print "because the machines are turned off." AVOID.

Cons: expensive, inconsistant quality, moronic service
