This world-famous botanical garden surrounds visitors with art, architecture and agriculture.

by Contributor

In Short
This 50-acre estate allows visitors to peruse the grounds of Harry P. Leu, one of O-Town's most respected entrepreneurs. Guests can tour one of the many turn-of-the-century houses, hike one of the many trails, gaze out over Lake Rowena from a private dock or stroll through the award-winning botanical gardens. Be sure to spend time at the main house, which holds a small traveling showcase of paintings, all of which are for sale.

Get married in beautiful Leu Gardens, then hold your reception at the grand Garden House.

by Contributor

Setting the stage
Garden House overlooks Lake Rowena and offers three lovely reception rooms. The Rose Room can host 25 guests; the Orchid Room, 45, and the Camellia Room with its screened veranda can hold 180 people.

Details, details
The City of Orlando is the Gardens' landlord and has some rules: use only their approved caterers and obtain insurance through Leu Gardens for your event. Inquire about the cancellation and refund policies.

The Cost
For four-hour blocks, the Rose and Orchid rooms cost $300 and the Camellia Room rents for $600. Additional time can be booked on an hourly basis. All rentals require a 50 percent deposit and the balance is due 30 days before the event.

A good place to spend an afternoon...

by ditch

My wife and I have been to Leu Gardens a couple times, and we always enjoy it, even though were not gardening nuts.

The garden is very peaceful, and there're many places to sit and enjoy beautiful views. Every time we visit, there's something new to maintain our interest.

If you go, don't miss the tour of the Leu House (every 1/2 hour.) The best time to go is in Jan-Feb when the Camellias are blooming.

I you want to have lunch nearby, try the Panera Bread at Fashion Square Mall, or Athenian Garden Cafe on Orange Avenue.

  • Pros: Cheap, No crowds, Location

Free attractions

by lavallew

It is definitely worth the admission fee, but I thought this was a rating of FREE attractions. Leu Gardens charges an admission fee which should be pointed out.

Nice relaxing atmosphere

by junglsmasif

This is a nice place to relax and do a small picnic. You will find beautiful exotic plants. If you like that sort of thing you have to experience at least once. I don't care to go again, didn't think it was worth the money.

I loved the gardens!!! They were amazing! I walked around all afternoon- they were so peaceful. It was nice to get away from the crowds of Disney World and relax.
