I moved to the Baldwin Park area a year and half ago and needed a hairstylist......I walked in and found Kyle who did the best hair I have ever had done before!!!!!She changed my hair cut and gave me a nice Victoria Beckham type bob with wicked contrasts in blonde and brown underneath....I get more compliments on my hair now that I ever had in my life....sooooo glad I found this great salon where all the people there are friendly...very modern feel to it. It's trendy and youthful, so I was a little worried as I am in my 40's, but Kyle made me look more up to date and brought me out of that rut I was in......I will never leave this salon.....I had to go and get new clothes to match my modern look.....My kids couldn't believe how different I looked!!!! way to go Mom!!!!!!!!..I absolutely love it every time she does it!!!!!!!! I have sent people I work with there they love it, too!!!!! I have seen everything from Mohawks, bobs, incredible hair extensions that they looked like they should be in Hollywood......I have such a good time when I go just watching the other hairstyles get done while she's working on mine! I had gone to Prive' at Mall of Millenia and was not happy for the amount I spent but then I found Kyle what a find!

Pros: Every type of cut, color and style offered from ultra modern to conservative

Cons: Parking can be a problem they are very busy!!!!!!!

After hopelessly looking for a good place to get my hair done I ran into the Wave on Colonial Dr. When I walked in, a very pleasant receptionist directed me over to Andrea. What I had in mind is a very complicated cut with highlights that require precision and loads of skill to turn out right. After explaining the cut to Andrea she knew exactly what I was talking about and got right to it. Not only did she do an AMAZING job but she also kept me entertained for the entire time which helped a lot considering that the entire process took about 3 hours. I wish I had taken a before and after picture so everyone can see how incredibly talented this lady is. I will be a customer for life and if you're looking for a top notch look -look no further.

Pros: Friendly, very personable staff, amazing skills, great products

Does anyone have comments on the hair stylist named John? Good and/or bad. I recently had a bad experience and not sure whether to give him another chance or not.

I have been seeing Joan for my hair cuts around 7yrs at The Wave. Every one is very friendly. Since I have been going to the Wave I have never had bad service. The Owner Bob plus all his Co works are the best. If you have never tried getting a hair cut at The Wave you should. You will be imprest!

After reading what people have said, I decided to check this place out. I went to Gabrielle as well and she is amazing. I wasn't quite sure what to do so I left it in her hands. She asked me some questions and then made me a rockstar!! My hair cut/color is AWESOME. I felt comfortable and the entire staff is so friendly. If you're looking for great people and great hair- I definitely recommend Wave hair design. They made a new regualr out of me!!!

I just moved to the area and I needed cut/color. I had no one to refer me so I just walked-in. Gabrielle greeted me. I showed her a cut (drastic change) in a mag I liked. She said I could "totally pull it off" so we went for it...I LOVE IT. My hair is awesome. Cool cut, gorgeous, natural red color. Something about Gabrielle made me feel comfortable enough to cut off all of my hair. I'm THRILLED I was lucky enough to find her. She listened to everything I said about my lifestyle and what I like (especially the color-no one else ever made me 100% happy before Gabrielle). Cool girl. AMAZING hair. Go see her. You won't be dissappointed.

Pros: Great listener; didn't push product

Cons: I didn't find Gabrielle sooner!

Reading these recommondations made me try The Wave. I had an appointment with Rebbeca. Upon firt glance I was not sure because her look is a little let's say Punk Rock. However she is so nice and completely skilled! I have not been this happy with my hair in years.

Pros: great service, good music, updated stylists

This place rocks! I moved down here form Nj and have not found anyone great until I met Gabrielle. She is amazing! I had a bad haircut and color job which she fixed and I get so many compliments! I love it!

gabrielle has managed to shave years off my look with an outstanding style. I have received more compliments since she has been doing my hair. She is a very talented person with the scissors and dryer. I just love my new look.

I went to this top notch salon and was sooo pleased with my new look. I am new in town and I have had some really bad experiences, but this salon rocks. Go see Gabrielle, she hooked me up. You won't be disappointed.
