A really great salon for women and men -- and everybody

I can't say enough good things about Salon 58 and Ibi, its owner. I've been going there for five years, and soon thereafter my wife and daughter, now 19, became regulars, It's is a comfortable place, cool and hip for many and comfortable and fun for everyone. Ibi, a native of Hungarian who owns the place, is gracious and fun -- and a good-looking woman. Her occasionally fractured English contributes to the charm and at-ease ambience. But let's talk about hair. If you're a guy who wants to look stylish without the trappings of a frou-frou salon, it's not easy to find that kind of place. And I learned long ago never to go near one of these chain clip-places in strip mall; there's never a consistency, That's one reason why I love Ibi, After 20 years in Orlando, I grew tired of people at salons or barbershops who would ask what sort of look I wanted -- as if they were capable of pulling it off anyway. First time I was with Ibi, I trusted her when she crinkled her nose and said in that Hungarian accent, "We're going to make you even more handsome." And for the first time since college, I got a haircut that I felt really great about -- not too short, not too long, shaped and tapered just right, professional for some guy in his 40s but not old-school either. People I know, even buddies who aren't attuned to haircuts, commented, And heck, for three years, I even got blond highlights and my wife was digging her advancing-into-his-40s guy, Oh, yeah, you don't have to be a metrosexual -- if that stereotypical term still has any relevance -- to appreciate a pedicure and making a wife or girlfriend take notice about a guy's feet don't have to have talons, Salon 58 is the place. Ibi is fun and cool and relates to everyone, regardless of age, The diversity of clients there sparks the place, along with the attention to customer satisfaction, Same thing about the rest of the folks who work there, including Ibi's daughter, Laura.

• Cons: Really none, except parking -- but Ibi is generous in helping you feed the parking meter

Great Place for the Best Hair Cut in Down Town Orlando

I am from New York and moved here two years ago. I am extremely lucky that I found Laura from ibi Salon to cut my hair. She gave me the best hair cut ever. Now my whole family comes to ibi salon, my mom, sister-in-laws, my daughter, my mother, even my mother-in-law from NY comes here when she visit us here in Florida.

Laura has the best personality, she treat you like family. Very friendly and polite at at the same time professional. Love Laura!!!

Ibi Salon is the most accommodating salon I have ever visited. They work around YOUR schedule, not theirs. Ibi was able to transform a very bad cut I received at another salon into a great cut. I have been hooked ever since! The prices are very competitive. You'll love the entire staff...very friendly!

Best Cuts & Styling In Town!!

Not only is Ibi's Salon conveniently close to shops and fabulous restaurants, I walked in and got the best cut and styling ever!! I've been to salons all over Orlando but never been so satisfied and confident walking out of a salon. Everyone knows getting their hair cut is a little bit of a nail biting experience but their confidence and skills made me feel confident the entire time!! Not just one person stands out but they ALL do! I'll never go to another salon again!! :)

I love IBI Salon

Ibi is one of those hairdressers that really listens to your wants and takes into consideration what your best features are... then makes the your hair look as great as possible - been with her for 6 years + and can't wait for the next pampering treatment!

If new to town or need a new look, I highly recommend you stopping here first :) I don't think you'll be disappointed!!!

Best in Orlando

I've been coming to Ibi for 6 months now and my hair has never looked this healthy. My old hairdresser fried my hair and Ibi slowly brought my hair back to life with a really cool haircut along the way. Now I have highlights and lowlights, a great cut and it's healthy!

The salon is chic and all the hairdressers are geniuinely nice, not stuck up like some of these other salons around town.

Brazilian Keratin Treatment...Unbelievable!!!!

I have been going to Ibi salon for 3 years now and every time I am more and more amazed!!! I was just in this past weekend for my normal cut, color and highlights, Ibi suggested the Brazilian Keratin treatment to get my hair shiny and minus the frizz...so since she has never steered me in the wrong direction!

My hair is so soft straight and unbelievable...This is the best way to deal with that broken, straw like hair. You must go to Ibi salon and inquire and try the place out. You won't be disappointed...I never am!

I'd Never Go Anywhere Else!

Ibi is awesome!!! I have thick hair that's neither straight nor curly. I've always wanted a short hair cut that's EASY to manage. When I say EASY, I mean just blow-drying with my fingers. No straightening iron, no hair products. Nobody has ever been able to give me a short hair cut that's EASY to manage....it always ends up flipping out at the ends in weird directions.

But IBI did it!!!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE my bob. It just falls into place, even after I SLEEP on it!

I will NEVER EVER go anywhere else!

My special salon

I love my day at the salon and no one does it like Salon 58. From manicures and pedicures to hair and skin treatments, they really know their stuff. My experience as a former color analyst makes me qualified to evaluate their services and my hair has never looked better. I reccommend spending the afternoon with hair and skin treatments and would suggest any of the facials they offer. I spend much of my time outdoors and it's always a challenge to find someone who understands the effects of the sun on hair and skin. The staff is friendly and knowledgable and I trust them to take good care of me once a month.
