My first visit (the last week of Sept. '07) to 'Another Chance' in Winter Park, FL changed my life. I went with the attitude that "OK, I'll go this one time and THAT'S IT.' How little I knew at the time. Fran (my counselor) was put in my path for a reason. When I left her office that first day I was overwhelmed with her compassion and guidance. Whitney, (who's sweet face greets me each 'visit') makes me smile... and Joanne, my group counselor, has been yet another wonderful addition to my recovery. The day after my first visit with Fran I went to my first AA meeting at the 'Green House'. I have never felt such a love from everyone suffering from an addiction. Our 'friendships' are based on honosty. You can't deceive any one of them... nor would you want to. Please know that whatever the problem you are having there is 'help' out there. These wonderful, caring people at 'Another Chance' are there for one reason only. To heal you of your addiction and start you on a wonderful journey of "living" like you have never lived before.
