Hidden Treasure

From the moment you enter Pannullos, your dining experience begins. Gentle lighting and WWII ambience is a wlecome surprise in a town that seems predominantly glitz. The pleasant hostess will seat you promptly and your server appears quickly.
The wine list is not extensive, but should cover every taste and budget. With many years experience in the restaurant field, I am more than a little critical of every aspect of dining out. I must tell you, I have nothing but high praise for Pannullo's! Incredible presentation of perfectly seasoned and prepared dishes excellant service, and all around great experience. Chef Pannullo walks through the dining area in the busiest hour, proving that he trusts his kitchen staff to handle everyhting expertly without overseeing it himself. Very rare. And his trust was not misplaced. Once you dine here, it will quickly become a habit! Enjoy!

I've eaten here twice and I've never really had any issues with it but reading the previous few reviews made me give it second thoughts... The food is pretty good though and it's a romantic place to eat. Sad to say but the best part of the meal is the fresh bread with olive oil that they bring to the table!
- Pros: good bread
- Cons: a bit pricey
Poor food and poor service.

My wife and I eat out at lease 5 days a week. We had a coupon from the Entertainment coupon book from Pannullo's and decided to try it. When we went to pay using the coupon book they said they don't accept them during the weekend (and they were not nice about it either), There was no restrictions noted on the coupon. We would have never tried them without the coupon. We were scammed. The restaurant was about a 1/3 full during dinner. Now I know why. We paid $35 for the two of us for a below average meal.
- Pros: Location
- Cons: Too many to mention.

Pannullo's is a great place to go with friends, family, or coworkers. The environment is very relaxing. I ordered the lobster stuffed ravioli and it exceeded my expectations. I was there with 3 other people whom which enjoyed their meals as well. The price was fair considering the quality of food you were getting. I would definitely go again.

First of all, I'll be honest and say this review is NOT about the food. I didn't even get the chance to stay and eat it. The service was so bad that my boyfriend and I got up and walked out before ordering.
The hostess had zero personality and didn't even tell us to follow her, just asked how many and then walked away. Unbeknownst to us, we were supposed to follow her to our table. The waiter wasn't friendly in the least and my boyfriend even mentioned his grumpy mood to me after he brought us our menus.
The best part was that we had a Buy 1 Get 1 Free Dinner coupon that is valid through December 2008, up to a $15 value, not valid on holidays. Trust me, we read the fine print. The waiter sees the coupon and then says, "Sorry, we're actually not taking any coupons right now because of the Maitland Art Festival." Apparently they can just randomly decide when to not accept perfectly good coupons. Well, the food was overpriced as it was, so we weren't about to spend money on 2 dinners. We mentioned to him that it didn't say anywhere on the coupon that we couldn't use it, but oh well. He didn't want to hear it and just said they weren't taking them. Too bad for us. We ditched that place and went to the Cheesecake Factory.
- Cons: Service
Save your taste buds and wallet the heart ache by opening a can of Chef Boyardee‎

I ordered the Italian simpler I get a chance to try several taste. I'm a lover of good Italian eats so my saliva glands were on overdrive waiting to the meal. When the meal arrived you and after a few bits, I head directly to the seasonings. Adding lots and lots of seasonings. Very, very bland taste. Basically olive oil on noodles. At $18, I'll be heading to Carrabbas Italian Restaurant to save a few bucks and receive a meal worth eating. If your considering this restaurant in the near future, just don't do it. I would recommend just buy a can of Chef Boyardee and a bottle of Lambrusco over Pannullo's. Save your taste buds and wallet the heart ache. Their only saving grace was that the bread was good. Maybe they should drop the Italian portion of the menu and get into the bread business. Mr. Diner
- Pros: Water was OK.
- Cons: Starchy, bland and over cooked pasta.
EVEN THE OWNER WAS RUDE

My mother is an authentic Italian cook. Their food is the only restuarant I've ever found in any city that comes close to hers. But here is the one problem--my table of 6 ladies were told by another waiter "If you were planning on settling up the bill, I'd encourage you to do so." We were so shocked we asked the owner/manager what was that about. He said (direct quote), "I have a more lucrative table of 10 coming in and I need that space. Plus you've been here for 2 hours, that's enough." WOW! AND HE'S THE OWNER??? It was 9:00pm and our reservations in HIS book stated 7:30pm. So he was obviously wrong. And when you are spending this much money at a restuarant, you are going to spend more time enjoying yourself than at a Wendy's or Applebees. And a "more lucrative table of ten"??? Seriously? More lucrative? Does he really have this many customers that he can be so rude? If you don't believe me, read the other 1-star rating and see how the owner treated them. STAY FAR AWAY OR YOU MAY BE TREAT THE SAME WAY. The food is not worth the rudeness! Buyer beware!
- Pros: great Italian food
- Cons: be treated like a 2nd class citizen by the OWNER
Best Italian in Orlando for the price!

I have worked in restaurants most of my life and I must say This place is pretty good. Food is good. Quality is good. There is just this one guy that works there. He just doesn't look happy to be there and he seems rude to everyone. I can't tell if he's a server or a cook or a manager because I see him doing a different job every day. Three weeks ago I saw him make a customer cry. Now that customer might have been overy emotional but still. I do have to give this place high regards because other than him, the food, the service and the price are all very good. Just need to send that guy through some sort of counselling and I only say that because I have been going there times a month for about three years and he has obviously been there a long time. Last time we were there our server, a very nice young lady, gave us phenominal service and went above and beyond to accomodate us. If you go in on a Friday or Saturday night call ahead because I have made that mistake and there has been a 45+ minute wait. Also sometimes if they are not busy they will close a little early, as I found out. At the time I was mad and then I realized that it makes sense to close if there is no business and save the money. I would probably do the same. Ultimately I give this place my highest regards. I'm sure home cooking is better... if you're from Italy. But this is a great compromise and with rustic tuscan murals and the candle light it is very pretty. Hopefully one day we will go there and that guy won't be there. But maybe every chicken lays a bad egg. Go there for the food. Go there fo the ambiance. Go there for the great service. But if you see a really big mean man stay out of his way!
- Pros: Great atmosphere - Great service - Great food - Great experience
- Cons: Some big j*rk works there!

Pannuulo's has been serving my family and friends for 15 years and keeps getting better, There is no turnover of staff and the same ownership has been working the floor for the entire time. If you are tired of getting ripped off every time you eat out and oferpaying for small portions then this is the place to go. The take many different discounts and still you get hige portions and great quality. I am only sad that they are so popular we sometime have to wait 15-20 minutes for a table but go to the wine room next door. The place is a warm cozy restaurant that feels like home. ENJOY
