Rude & offensive staff -

by WB21376

I went to this establishment and the manager of thte restaurant Les verbally asulated me and then when I tried to contact the owner Greg, he called me and told me that I was a liar and never even asked me what happened. Having traveled all over, I must say this was the worst expereince EVER!

Excellent food and service

by michelemabelle

Four of us had dinner, for the first time, at Antonio's last weekend. We dined in the upstairs area and everything was wonderful. We each ordered something different (I had the filet) and every choice was delicious. The filet, by the way, was like butter but without the awful over-tenderized texture of some served at other places. Two of us had Pinot Noir by the glass and it was like velvet. Our server was an Italian gentleman who anticipated our every need. Though we are from Miami, we will absolutely return when we are in the area again.

  • Pros: Food and service
  • Cons: Not easy to find the upstairs dining area unless you ask.

Good Food, Close Quarters

by rstrubins

My wife and I ate in the downstairs cafe, and although it was crowded and nosier than we expected, the food was enjoyable. It was a nice casual atmosphere to enjoy with friends, but do not expect romance to blossom with your neighbors less than a foot away. In fact, you may even be able to sample their dishes as well! Overall, the service was attentive, the experience unique, and the food worth the trouble. Buon appetito.

  • Pros: Broad food selection, Tasty, Friendly staff
  • Cons: Cramped, Noisy

Wonderful Rehearsal Dinner

by blessednvero

Rehearsal dinner for 39. Working with manager, Les, was a real pleasure.

He gave great suggestions. Everything went smoothly even though we were late arriving. Food was outstanding, menu had choices for everyone (several vegetarians).

Because of our size we were not in a banquet room, but our party was set up in such a way that it felt private and intimate. I've never had such attentive service. My husband and I were very pleased that we chose Antonio's for our son's rehearsal dinner. The guests were very impressed with the ambience and praised everything from the wine to the desserts.

Average to below average

The food and service here were very average. Perhaps it is hard to find good italian food in Orlando? That is the only reason I can come up with the high rating for Antonios. I will not go back.

Disappointing First Date

by famu97

I took a first date to Antonio's after some people mentioned it to me and I was a little disappointed. We did eat in the downstairs deli part of the restaurant so keep that in mind. Service was good but the downstairs is a little tight and crowded and really made for the lunch crowd. For appetizer we had the Polpetti di Granchio (crabmeat, breadcrumbs & seasoning pan-fried) served with a spicey sause. It was good. For an entree, I had the Gamberi alla Romana (shrimp tossed with fettuccine, olive oil, garlic, basile, fresh mushrooms, & Roma tomatos). Their was too much oil in the dish and it was bland. The shrimp were good though. Definitely don't take any dates to the deli part even if you're pressed for time. I'll reserve final judgement 'til I go to the restaraunt part.

  • Pros: Service is Good, Descent Menu select
  • Cons: , Deli Part is to small, Parking lot is small

Seafood served up Italian-style is the main specialty at this casually elegant eatery.

The Scene
Located just a few hundred yards from Maitland's Lake Lily, Antonio's La Fiamma has a unique dual identity. Lunch crowds are undoubtedly familiar with their downstairs deli, which serves up traditional favorites such as calzones, pizzas and sandwiches. But dinner crowds flock to the upstairs room menu of high-end Italian entrees and wines. In addition, there's a full-service liquor store adjacent to the deli.

The Food
The upstairs menu is filled with delightful choices such as tender chicken scarpelli, or shrimp scampi in sauce kissed with a touch of garlic. The zuppa di pesce, an assortment of fresh shrimp, calamari, scallops, fish and Canadian lobster tail in a seafood broth served over a bed of linguine, is excellent. For dessert, the tiramisu is a heavenly choice. The waitstaff upstairs, many with authentic Italian accents, are also top-notch. The more casual downstairs deli-style cafe has a less elaborate menu but the food is equally well-executed.

Better than Home

by mchuddleston

We have been enjoying Antonio's for over seven years. On our first visit, my wife, myself and our infant son had just spent a stressed out day of christmas shopping. We stopped at Antonio's on the recomendation of our car dealer who was located down the street. That was one the best recommendations I have ever received. The staff and owners treated us as if we were long lost friends. Our son was carried by the owner's wife and loved upon as if he was hers, (he has seen the kitchen and inner workings, I haven't) so we could enjoy our meal and when my wife needed to feed our son she made her office available. We have been back over thirty times, for annivsaries, birthdays, my sister rehearsal dinner, firm dinners and each time we are again treated as old family and I think maybe we are becoming them.

  • Pros: food, service, wine
