The best NY deli ever
by mandmblevins
We live closer to Ocoee and are in Longwood once a month. It's our monthly treat. The pastrami on the jewish rye knocks our socks off. I am a NJ transplant , but have lived here for 37 years, I forgot what I was missing. Service is great and the staff sweet and helpfull. You guys are the best, and see you next week. Mack and Mel
- Pros: Love the food
- Cons: could be alittle bigger
Place is yummy...but they need a personality.

It seems like everyone at the butchers and Deli dept. take a grumpy pill every morning! No personality and no happy smiles. Beside that the food is yummy.

Very clean, lots of changes,
New Menu Items everyday,
Rib Steaks are the best,

The Sloppy Joes are worth the trip alone,
Staff Is Friendliest in town they bend over backwords just to make you happy,
Portions are huge,

Good "jewish" food

Food is great- very traditional jewish food- puts Too Jay's to shame for sure, but the atmosphere is terrible. Looks like they havent properly cleaned it in years and it just shows too much neglect. The second another decent deli comes to town (and it will in time) Amira's will shut down. We put up with it because its the only game in town but thats no excuse for just not taking care of your establishment.
- Pros: Food
- Cons: Atmosphere, cleanliness
I love Amira's
by pantssupreme
Amira's is fantastic all the way around. It's a little drab inside, but the food more than makes up for it! I've had Amira's catering a few times and it's NOT half as good as the restaurant. If you've only had catered frood at a Bar/Bat Mitzvah, do yourself a favor and try it!
- Pros: Food, Service
- Cons: Location, Decor
Simplistic interiors give way to delicious New York deli cuisine.

The Scene
Outside, Amira's modest white exterior and blue roof make it barely discernible from the furniture and hardware stores that surround it. Inside, visitors are greeted by a large, glass deli counter and a dining room filled with blue Formica tables and fluorescent lighting.
The Food
Expect no-nonsense cuisine: enormous sandwiches, hearty soups and lavish desserts. Sandwiches come packed with fresh deli meats (made on the premises) and are bookended with thick slices of homemade bread. Side dishes include a variety of traditional and not-so-traditional choices, such as fries, coleslaw and, for the more daring, eggplant relish. Definitely order the pastrami, which is peppery, lean, delicate and perfectly cured. The soups, particularly the matzoh ball and the heavenly mushroom and barley (when it's on the menu), are some of best comfort foods in Central Florida. But pass on the corned beef. Although it's well-made, you can find better variations in the area, especially for the price.
