We ate dinner at Emeril's twice in one week last summer! It was incredible! There were 4 of us and we eac ordered something different so we could sample a variet of offerings. No one was disappointed. We made those reservations 3 mos in advance. The second night I ordered the whole lobster #lbs STUFFED with lobster and huge shrimp. It costs $52 and worth every penny. The banana cream pie is a must. I don't even like banana cream pie and I can assure you I won't ever eat there with out saving room for that pie.
My only complaint was that I saved a chair for Emeril and he didn't show up. Oh well......
Overpriced - Poor service, Unedible food

Oh My God! We just experienced the worst dining experienced ever on Jul 10. We were in town celebrating our 20th anniversary. Huge mistake. We have dined in some of the best restuarants overseas and stateside (Japan, SIngapore, DC, Thailand, Europe, TN, FL) , paid top $$$ for great food and superb service, this is undoubtedly the worst! The steak was cold and greasy, the gumbo tasked like Zatarians watered down., dirty plates, the fish was fishy! Yuk. The suited wait staff visited every table but ours, they really need to invest in diversity training. What a waste of $150. We dared not try the dessert. Definitely does NOT cater to refined taste buds. Those folks who gave this restaurant raving reviews, need to evaluate themselves and learn to difference between fine dining and glorified Red Lobster/Olive Garden. A waste of money , folks!

Overpriced, Overpriced, Overpriced. Sure it's fancy and all, but when you are dropping $150.00 for dinner for 2 without drinks, you might not want to see people in shorts and bathing suits who just got off a water ride at Universal. They need to inforce the dress code or drop the price.
Excellent food, ambiance and service!!

My husband and I have been to Emeril's Orlando twice--the first time as a couple dining alone (5-06) and this last time with our toddler son (5-08). Both times were awesome and a wonderful experience! The food is outstanding, it's so hard to stop eating to save room for dessert!! I went out on a limb and tried the Fried Green Tomatoe's appetizer and I was not disappointed!! My husband loved the Andoulle Sausage appetizer. Both times, we had an excellent waiter and wonderful service--this last time, they were also very accomodating to our toddler son, letting us order his food early, making a side of "over cooked" veggies for him which were perfect--we were able to feed him before our meal came so we could enjoy our fantasic dinner's--every bite was a pleasure!! I had the special fish for the evening, Chilean Sea Bass over purple sticky rice, oh my, it was soooo good!!! We don't go out to dinner very often, it's something we enjoy doing when we vacation--we save calories and money on a daily basis but evey calorie and dollar spent at Emeril's is worth it!!
- Pros: awesome food, wine and atmosphere
- Cons: long walk from parking garage

11/26/07 We ordered BBQ Shrimp, Mushrooms and alamari. When the shrimp came it was very disappointing. It was not the Jumbo shrimp swimming in a luscious BBQ sauce. Instead it was very small shrimp, no head and a tablespoon or so of ?BBQ? sauce drizzled on top. mushrooms were small sliced mushrooms on a ? c of angel hair pasta with very little if any sauce, hardly enough for one person let alone an entire table. The calamari was tasty but a bit chewy and a small portion. We have had much better at other restaurants in the area for ? the price. It took a while for our main courses to arrive. When they did my friend that had ordered the pork chop attempted to cut through it with a knife but it proved difficult. It was the toughest overcooked pork chop we had ever seen. Even with the steak knife it proved a challenge. When she asked the waiter if it was suppose to be this tough; he suggested that she didn?t like the taste or texture instead of realizing it was overcooked and tough. She got the chicken instead. While the rest of us were eating she ordered another drink and about 20 minutes later her drink came out and it was not what she ordered so it had to be sent back. I had the duck which was very good but the rice was just plain white rice. The men at the table all had the Kobe Beef which was very good but again the sides were terrible. The chicken arrived at the table when most of us were just finishing our meals. The disappointing fact was despite the interesting sounding dish on the menu; it was just plain chicken with nothing interesting or extraordinary about it. The point is we could have chosen several other places in the area for ? to ? of the price and received much better service and a more satisfying meal but we paid almost $1,000.00 for a meal where one of our guests left hungry and none of us were totally full or satisfied that that meal was worth the price.
- Cons: Long walk from parking, Overpriced, Food sounds much better on menu however when delivered it is at best typical.

They ask you if you are celebrating a special occasion, and if you want a candle on your desert. They sing happy birthday like as if you are at Chili's. I said I wasn't sure if we were ordering dessert, but if we did, then yes. We had a reservation and were asked to have a seat in a waiting area when we arrived, even though there were quite a few open tables. I was hoping since it was our anniversary they would tuck us away in a quieter room, but we sat right there by the kitchen with tables very close together. Not romantic at all, very loud and cold. We were wondering why there was only one wine glass on the table when we saw the big sticky fingerprints on the glass. I said "I hate to be a pain but this glass is kind of dirty, do you think you...." before I even finished my sentence, the annoyed waiter turned from me and took both glasses...I said "the other glass is fine" but he was gone. The waiter was buddy buddy with the large table next to us, chatting away, but since he was mad at us about the wine glass, he was very brief, and a little rude when we ordered. When he would forget about us for too long, which was quite often, back up waiters would notice and pick up the slack but sometimes it was too little too late. I can't go into too much detail since space is limited, but our waiter was so mean he almost made me cry. The service was slow but the food was amazing. I recommend the calamari. The redfish was pretty good and my husbands fillet mignon was delicious. THe desserts looked amazing and the house pinot grigio was worth the $10 per glass. I think our waiter's name was Michael, the server number on our receipt is 10206.
VERY DISAPPOINTING, Tourist Trap!

We have eaten in the Atlanta Emerils and had a wonderful experience. So when we found out we were going to Orlando for a cheerleading competition I immediatly made a resveration at Emerils Orlando. The experience was nothing like our Atlanta one. Restaurant was noisy, dirty and crowded. Definatly a tourist trap. We started with a cospomolitian martini that tasted fruit juice. Went thru the wine list, which is extensive if you want to spend $100 or more on a bottle of wine. We found something that we liked on the by the glass list for $16.00/glass and asked if we could have a bottle of that, waiter said sure they would charge us 4 times the glass, so $64.00, when the bill came they charged $70.00.
Our steaks were tough and the twice baked potato was so dry it crumbled when you put your fork in it.
Overall I have nothing good I can say, our bill was $270.00 and I don't mind paying that when you get a good meal but for what we got the meal wasn't even worth $25.00.
- Pros: Convient location
- Cons: Food, Price, Noise
Make sure you call ahead for a reservation!

This restaurant is truly one of my favorites in Orlando. The service is outstanding, the ambiance is intimate, lively, and can be romantic all at the same time, and the food is definitely worth the price. The waiting list is long however, so reservations are a must. If you happen to be in the area and have not called ahead, you may get lucky and have a chance at sitting in the bar area and still have full access to the menu.
- Pros: The Food, the ambiance, the service!
- Cons: The price
Celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse's Citywalk restaurant kicks up Orlando cuisine to notches unknown.

In Short
Inventive and bold, yet conventionally elegant, this popular CityWalk restaurant is highlighted by large, flashy colors, oversized art prints and shimmering glass. The exceptional serving staff circles around the multilevel dining room like generals over a battlefield, without the stuffiness you'd expect. Long lines makes getting a seat difficult. Fan of the chef? Lagasse makes occasional appearances. The creative, changing menu features everything from New Orleans classics to bold new creations with creative twists.
- Pros: mind-blowing entrees
- Cons: reservations required

This place is yummy. We went here with another couple and ordered the degustation menu with the wine paring. Wow! I completely recommed Emerill's Universal. We usually do not like any of the I-Drive, Disney area restaurants, but this one takes the cake. Completely outstanding.
- Pros: Service was outstanding, ambience is beautiful and the food, oh
- Cons: A bit pricy, almost $600 for four, but we splurged on the tasting menus.
