Laser‎

The Laser Method With the laser hair removal method, the client will experience permanent hair reduction of about 90%. the process involves local selective absorption of intense light pulse at wavelengths that are absorbed by hair follicles but not by the surrounding tissue. there are individuals that are not candidates for laser. individuals that are currently taking Accutane or have a history or at risk of melanoma, individuals who are pregnant are taking antibiotics or are on retin-a will need to delay treatment. we offer the gentlemax, candela’s newest laser hair removal system. the gentlemax laser allows us to work on all skin types. we also offer the serenity system which allows for a more “pain-less” treatment.

Elsctrolysis

The Electrolysis Method If you are ready to permanently remove unwanted hair & increase your self-esteem, the most proven, effective method is electrolysis using the ib probe. Electrolysis involves inserting a very fine probe into a hair follicle, then activating an electric current which passes through the needle to the root of the hair, destroying the papilla. Once the papilla has been cauterized in this manner, the follicle can no longer produce hair. An individual ib probe is issued to each client. The ib probe used at lana gray international, unlike the “straight needle”, has insulation along its shaft. The insulation prevents the discharge of electric current along the shaft & allows the current to concentrate at the tip, where the ib probe meets the papilla. The non-insulated tip of the ib probe is bulbous & slightly thicker than the insulated shaft. This assures contact between the tip of the ib probe & the papilla. It further insures that the ib probe cannot pierce the skin & can enter the skin only at the hair follicle opening. The result is the most effective method of permanent hair removal, w/ little discomfort, & no risk of tissue damage.

After a thorough evaluation by our certified esthetician, you will experience a deep cleanse, exfoliation & relaxing steam to open pores, extractions, followed by a treatment masque & facial massage. The esthetician will tailor this treatment especially for you, catering to your specific needs. Our 30 minute mini facial includes a basic cleanse along w/ a light exfoliation & gentle masque. This is great for a quick pick me-up when you are on the go.

Back - Cials Our 45 minute back-cial treatment includes a thorough cleansing, exfoliation, extractions & masque. This popular treatment is available for both men & women & can be combined w/ a 1 hour custom facial for a truly relaxing experience.

Peels We offer both‎ light & deep peels. A consultation w/ our certified esthetician is required to determine what is right for you. Our peels are available for all skin types, oily, dry/dehydrated, sensitive, all levels of acne, pigment disorders & aging, just to name a few. Peels are often combined w/ microdermabrasion for outstanding results.

Body hair develops in stages‎

First, hair develops in the center of the chest & forms a sagittal pubic pattern, w/ no hair on the back.

Next, the chest pattern expands, the pubic area becomes acuminate & hair begins to develop on the neck, tailbone & sides of back.

Then both the chest & back patterns expand.

In the last stage, the chest area continues to expand, the pubic area is dispersed, & hair develops on the shoulders while the back is covered w/ hair.
