Editorial Review for Chickie's & Pete's Cafe – by Citysearch Staff

In Short
The original in a chain of working-class sports bars, this pub packs in local fans seven nights a week. Chickie's atmosphere--big bars, flat-screen TVs, Coors Light banners--is a sports fan's dream. Woe to the poor guy who comes in wearing a Cowboys sweatshirt. This self-proclaimed inventor of Old Bay-dusted crab fries prides itself on messy eating. Cutlet sandwiches, Wiz-stuffed poppers, hit-or-miss wings, decent mussels red and hot roast beef are customer favorites.

This is the first time I have left a message and I just had to because of the horrible experience I had a Chickie and Pete's. The waitress was extremely rude. The entire time she obviously had no patients for customers who had never been there before (and will never go back). After we payed the check she came back to clear more from our table and said, "You guys have to get going. We have a lot of people coming in tonight." I'm appalled as I have never been treated with such rudeness before. And the annoying part was since we had a party of people an 18% gratuity was included on the bill.

Pros: no pros

Cons: bad service
