So many books!. I thought they had such a nice selection of books and DVDs for a small town. The staff was very friendly and very helpful to me. I highly recommend anyone wanting to grab a few used books or DVDs in order to relish some quality time in sleepy Florida.…
One of the best Used Bookstores in the region.
I've been shopping with them for 13 years, this is their third location since they opened the doors and I drive more than 1/2 hour one way to shop here.
In the last two years, their prices have jumped tremendously. If the book has been out less than 3 or 4 years, you will find it much cheaper online.
I used to be able to find a large number of interesting books for about 25% of their cover price but that is very rare these days, regardless of the topic but especially the case when buying fiction and any textbook (these are grotesquely overpriced and thus are growing in great numbers).
Their science section is very limited and information out of date, likewise the area of computer science.
It is rare to find a book on aviation, boating, or other sports with the exception of golf.
They have a lot of trades coming through the door and they are usually pretty good about giving you about 10%-20% on what you bring in to apply to store credit. This is better than most used bookstores in the area.
After reading the last review, I can't understand why they bothered to post it. It's sad to see yet another person, who thinks that the rules don't apply to them! When you open your business, you can post a sign saying that cell phone usage is encouraged!
In my opinion, the owner's are pretty reasonable people and that's why they have been in business so long, considering this economy, they must be doing something right.…
Treats Customers Terrible. Was asked to leave the bookstore for using my cellphone (was answering email on my iPhone). The only reason i can think they would ban cellphone usage in the store is so you can't see how overpriced their books are. Wasn't just me. I saw on arriving that there was a sign on the front door saying no cell usage in store (I had assumed that meant phone calls)…
