My Organza Flare Fit Me Perfect – THE ORGANZA FIT ME PERFECT, (vw351011)
Writing reviews for wedding gowns while trying to find my one and only for my big day is about the smartest decision I have made lately. My decision to say “yes” when my fiancé popped the question with the ring of my dreams was made by a feeling which can never exactly be described.
If I had to explain the feeling inside of me at that moment, many descriptive verbs come to my mind. It was better than breathtaking and it felt better than being swept off of my feet. It was more explosive than butterflies in my stomach.
It is as simple as the four letter word we all search for our entire lives and most are as unfortunate to pretend to be in love. However I now understand that real love is not something you search for. It is also not a feeling that can be adjusted. As my fiancé says when I ask him how much he loves me “it’s immeasurable”.
I fell in love with my fiancé the moment we had sex. I fell in love with the ring he gave me and now I am searching for the gown of my lifetime. I know exactly what I don’t want it to look like, just as most women know exactly what they don’t want in bed. However the list of things we don’t want is far larger than the feeling of simplicity during the moment the gown is found.
So how do we brides to be, find this so called item? Where is the little book of instructions? I wonder if my mother has it in her recipe box. Actually, scratch that idea. I don’t want to ask anyone or listen to anyone about how or what will take place during my bridal gown hunt. This is my wedding and I will find the gown with my name on it all by myself. I mean think about it, mom didn’t help me find the guy and definitely didn’t pick out the ring either. Moving along with this statement, I try on dress number one that makes my belly pop out.
“Here we go” I thought, I am not a chic that likes to shop or try on multiple outfits daily. I don’t have time for that “pretty” stuff so I try on the second white poufy laced tight around the waist gown. “Great” I think, I don’t feel fat but I can’t move either. At this point I am ready to leave the store and go on with my day. Travis, my fiancé, had been waiting outside for so long he ultimately decided to go purchase a beta fish.
Suddenly the “witch” (selling gowns on commission) throws three more white dresses right on top of me and says “this one first!” I wanted to ask her if it was a three in one deal or what because I couldn’t figure any one of them out. They were all the same to me at this point and I wanted to go. But my future mother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tara carefully untangled the big white mess and asked me to slip “this” one over my head. It was the one. The only one I walked out of that dressing room wearing with a smile and tears to accessorize.
Okay, now it’s the maid of honor’s turn. That was a bit more frustrating. Why? Because what on earth did we want for color, style, and so on. There was bright yellow, green, gold, you name it. She didn’t want any of them and that made my decision also. If she didn’t love it, I didn’t love it. The “witch” was now ten shades of red as she asked me to get off the pedestal and change out of my wedding gown. I simply refused saying “I need my maid of honor to stand up here with me before we leave this store.” Ha, that’s when all three “witches” really started pulling the goods out of the back room. Along came the shoes, jewelry, veil with sequins and bouquets’.
I asked for a bottle of champagne and the look on their faces was a very awkward “what, is she serious?”. I giggled inside my head as Tara walked out of the dressing room smiling like the job was done.
