Good shop for knowledgeable do-it-yourselfers.
Really, some of these reviewers are just better off buying a Dell or something. I've built several systems using parts from Smart Guys and they are all running solidly. They have a wide variety of parts you can't find anywhere else around here. The staff is knowledgeable and courteous and willing to wheel and deal. I didn't buy a pre-assembled machine from them, so I can't comment on that, but I can say they have good prices for stuff if you know what you're looking for and you know what you're doing.
These guys ripped me off. They sold me a broken computer. Their return policy is they won't take anything back, they'll only repair what you bought. Everytime I brought my computer in for repairs, they'd say they fixed it, but they never did. If they fixed one problem, they'd create 3 new ones. I don't know if they're incompetent or just don't care, but either way I lost a lot of money and time and after over 6 repair attempts I had to give up and go elsewhere, never got my money back.
