Jack's Steakhouse = 2 thumbs down. I truly believe our waitress (dark red hair) was medicated. A simple request for 12yr scotch turned out to be so confusing to her.... we're told they don't have it, which prompts my husband to get up and go query the bartender who reports, of course they carry it!? It was downhill from there in all communications with this seemingly nice waitress but clearly, she is employed in the wrong industry.

However, that's not why we won't go back to Jack's. The filet mignon was raw when I ordered it medium... and still raw when it was returned to me a second time. I had to take it home and cook it properly for lunch the next day! The "oscar" addition to my filet was a big gooey mess.. the crab couldn't be recognized or tasted. The mashed potatoes are too salty. The entire menu is overpriced to say the least for this type of experience. Another example of a restaurant in what's considered a "posh" area that doesn't consistently deliver quality because they believe location alone will carry them. Shame.. shame...

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!. Went for their "Sunday Brunch" ($20 a person) and had the worst service and experience. It is a nice restaurant and you expect nice service for the price you are paying. How was wrong I? The waitress treated us like we were incompetent when we questioned the menu, and after we ordered it took 15 minutes to get drinks when there were only 2 other tables in the entire restaurant!! Once we were done eating, my friend still had her plate and I was trying some of her entree when the waitress rudely accused us of "sharing food" and told us she would have to charge us an additional $20. Not only that, but she sent the manager over near our table to 'supervise' us to make sure we were not sharing. I felt like we were criminals being watched over like we did something wrong. I would never go here again, and STRONGLY don't reccommend this place to anyone else. IT RUINED MY BIRTHDAY BRUNCH.

BEWARE!. The only enjoyable part of the night besides the wine was leaving. The food was overcooked, bland and overpriced. I have had better steak at Golden Corral. Service was slow and gave incorrect information about the food. A few days later, I come to find I had been charged an extra $100 on top of the original bill. I went back to Baldwin and personally spoke with the owner and manager who were both told me I was wrong. I spent over an hour in the restaurant and finally left with more than I signed for on my card. I did not receive any compensation for the inconvenience and my time.

Marrying contemporary design with timeless elegance, this downtown establishment offers hand-cut steak, fresh seafood, and an extensive wine menu.. In Short
The clean lines, black-and-white tiling and gleaming wood finish mix modernity with classic elegance. Traditional steakhouse cuisine served on white-linen tableclothes conveys a casual sophistication and the attentive wait staff ensures the highest quality service. Lobster and scallop bucatini and soft pillows of herb gnocchi are richly delicious seafood pastas, but the prime-cut meat entrees are what truly steal the spotlight. From hand-cut filet mignon to herb crusted lamb chops, Baldwin offers the highest quality USDA meat grilled to tender perfection. An extensive wine list offers the ideal selection to accompany any meal.
