They Damaged My System Right IN FRONT OF ME!!!. I took my Playstation 3 there to have a new laser put in it. The so called technician, who looked like a 16yr old high school kid, told me to come back in an hour to pick it up. I come back and to my surprise, he's got 3 or 4 USED LASERS next to my system, trying each one to see which one would work. Then he unhooks my blu ray drive while the system is still running, and I see sparks!! I was so pissed off I walked out the store. I paid in advance(big mistake), and they ended up getting someone else to go over my system and getting it back running again. Angela Barnes is the owner and she's a crook. She didn't even admit the mistakes of her shop and her kiddie employees and to make matters worse, my system worked for a month and now my blu ray is not reading again. Don't be fooled by the 6 month warranty either because she will not honor it!!!
Trust the reviews. I should have went with my first instinct to listen to the reviews. I took my Ps3 in for a ylod repair. Paid the $80 for repair plus an additional $20 for the extended warranty. Upon picking up my system as one of the so called technicians was handing me my system he banged it on the front of the counter! Got it home and it worked for about a week of on and off play before the Playstation Network was down so it was not tried to play again for another 3 weeks before Playstation Network was back up. Went to turn on the system and it shut down giving me the ylod error again. Took it back to the shop and waited about 3 days before calling them because they wont call you when your system is ready. They said that it was a different issue than the original repair and was not covered under the warranty. End result, I paid $100 for them to fix ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. This is the worst, most unprofessional place I have ever seen. If you read the reviews believe them. I didn't and now I am out $100
Don't do business here..
Don't do business here. This place has given me the most frustrating and infuriating experience I have had when dealing with a business.
I brought in both my PS3 and Xbox360 to be repaired. The after a few days the PS3 was reported as being unfixable.
My Xbox360 was returned to me repaired. I have a busy schedule and was not able to test it when I got home. However a few weeks later after watching 1 dvd with it I got the same error as before (e74), so I took it back in to them. This time they said they can't fix it and that it is a "different" error and not covered under the 6 month warranty, then that even if it was the same error all their warranty would cover is them trying the exact same fix for it again. They also refused to give me a refund on the original fix (30 day refund guarantee), saying it had been too long from the day they fixed it, not the day I paid for it and picked it up (difference of 3 days and the 30 day refund threshold).
After arguing with them for a considerable amount of time over this I was able to get them to try to fix it again. To try something different. I had been calling them every few days at this point to check on the status of the repair being told "we will call you when it is finished." After a few weeks of this they admitted to loosing my system all together.
So end total dealing with these people has cost me $50, the loss of my broken xbox360, and considerable headache and gained me absolutely nothing.
DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT. This is the most unprofessional "business" I had ever seen. I took my equipment there, they told me 2-3 days and IN WRITTEN they tell you that in rare instances, they will take 3-4 weeks. Well, after a month of playing cat and mouse, me mostly being the cat, I ended up getting back my equipment... untouched. I do understand that now Japan is the excuse, but what is INEXCUSABLE is that they outright lie to you over the phone. "Oh, it is being tested, I'll call you tomorrow". Lie. "It should be done this weekend, I'll call you on Monday". LIE. "I will call you in 10 minutes" LIE, LIE, LIE. They gave me the runaround like this for a whole month, around 5-10 times. I was MORE THAN PATIENT but trust me, I was NOT a happy camper when I when over there... OH WAIT! THE BEST PART! They MOVED TO ANOTHER LOCATION, and in a baffling lack of courtesy and professionalism, they won't informed me, even though I call every week. Just imagine my face when I arrived to that now empty store. I WANTED BLOOD. I sure wasn't nice to the woman at the counter and I'm sorry, but they earned every bit of my anger, and trust me, it was just a pinch of it. Where did they move? By Hoffner, suite 205 or something like that, they don't even have a sign so it was an extra annoyance to find the new store. All things consider, they might be liars but at least they were not unpleasant... but if you want pleasentry, you should go to a hotel instead, if you are looking for quality videgame repair, LOOK ELSEWHERE. You had been warned. OH, and to LEROY, no, I am not a video store owner, I am a real person who went for service, maybe there is indeed someone doing that but not every person here is that person, I am a very dissatisfied customer and YOU are probably either pals with them.... OR ONE OF THEM. THE PLACE STINKS AND THERE IS NO WAY AROUND IT. PEOPLE,. TRUST ME, DON'T GO THERE. IF YOU DO, YOU WILL BE SORRY.
Horrible horrible place!!. Brought my Xbox 360 in for a 2 red rings problem. Charged me $50 and let me pick it up a few days later. System worked great for about 7 days before I got another 2 red rings failure. So, I brought it in again, since they'd given me a 6 month warranty, and two days later was called to pick it up again. Worked great for about a week and a half, then 2 red rings again! Made a THIRD trip to Game Zone to fix it, and was told they would fix it and get it running again, but that I should then take it to Game Stop and trade it in for credit towards a new system before it failed again. So basically, they offered to help me con their competition into buying a lemon because these incompetent CHILDREN don't know what they're doing. Hardly seems honest to me.
DONT GO HERE!!!!. This place is run by kids and they DO NOT stand behind the repairs, I fixed my Xbox 9/15 fro 3 red rings I rec'd the xbox back the same day 3 weeks later it started to get the red rings again, I could turn it off for a few minutes and then turn it back on and it would work fine but I brought it back in because they are supposed to guarantee their work. Well I brought it in they hooked it up it worked fine NO RED RINGS but they said they will keep it for testing to make sure its working properly. I get a call a week later saying the xbox has a “electrical short” and will not start AT ALL and its not part of the "original" problem so they are not refunding my money and they cant fix it!?!?! IT WAS WORKING BEFORE I BROUGHT IT THERE?! They said it’s not their problem and refused to do ANYTHING!! Terrible customer service and actually made my Xbox worse so now I am out $50 and an Xbox!!! DO NOT GO TO GAME ZONE!!!
Quick and Reasonable Xbox 360 Repair.
My Xbox 360 quit working (error code 74). Game Zone was nearby, so I brought it in for a repair. I wondered how many days I'd have to be without it and was worried that it would be expensive to fix. I thought I might even have to replace the console and was not looking forward to spending that kind of money. The store personnel were very knowledgeable and assured me that they would be able to diagnose and fix the problem for a flat $50 fee.
It was done the next day and I was only charged the $50 fee. I am very happy with the service I received and highly recommend them to anyone who needs to have their game console repaired.
