Richard Hornsby was a very good lawyer. When my case all the sudden came up after two years nearly following the events that had lead up to it I was confused, lost, and had no clue what I was going to do. Mr Hornsby was referred to me but a lawyer in Georgia who was very good friends with two of my cop friends in Georgia. Being he came highly recommended I scheduled a meeting with him to see about representing me and within the first few minutes I knew he was the absolute right man for the job. He was straight forward, knowledgeable and got right to the point. He took a lot of stress off my shoulders and did an amazing job trying to get me the best possible outcome. He was always 100% honest with me about everything and even did the work of a prosecutor to find case laws that might be used against me to determine what would be best course of action for us to take. In the end he did everything I wanted him to do and got me the best possible outcome considering all the bull crap we were up against. He got the adjudication withheld in my case, got me only a year probation, and I will definitely be seeking his counsel in a year when I got to get this sealed and off my record because it has no place being there. I wanted to get it dismissed entirely but he told me there was case law that if prosecutor found would prohibit that and would have to risk 50/50 court and harsher punishment possible if other people decided I was guilty and I wasn't risking my fate in other people's hands and let them judge what they had no clue about.

An unexpected arrest occurred, and Mr. Hornsby returned our call promptly. He was leaving town, and arranged to meet with us on a Saturday evening. He covered all of our options and we decided on a course of action. Although I expected a long, exhausting process, we were notified ten days later that the matter had been taken care of to our satisfaction. About 5 months ago I needed a lawyer. I called Mr Hornsby and within 15 minutes he returned my call. I told him of my arrest and the criminal charge that was against me. Mr Hornsby asked me to meet with him at his office the next business day. Mr Hornsby was very straight forward and explained in detail possible penalties. He assure me that he will work to get the best possible outcome, I need not worry, just move on with my life. Never having to hire an attorney before, or been in trouble, and having someone telling you not to worry because he will work for you. He was right, within 4 months Mr Hornsby had the charges DISMISSED. Mr Hornsby is an aggressive, confident, knowledgeable and trustworthy attorney. Mr. Hornsby represented me for my case over the the past year. This was been the first time I had a run-in with law, so I had no idea what actions to take nor what to expect, especially being from another state. Mr. Hornsby was able to alleviate me of much stress and was always available to assist with any questions or doubts I may have had. He suggested multiple actions that I could take and offered his opinion on the best option. I chose to enter the Pre-Trial Diversion program for my DUI, and he handled all legal details without me having to be present. Upon completion of the program the case was dismissed. Through a very traumatic time, Mr. Hornsby proved to be the right decision. He handled a juvenille case for us and provided us the guidance we needed to protect our child's future. He was responsive to our inquiries and was a strong presence in the courtroom.

Richard Hornsby is truly a talented Criminal Defense attorney that dismissed A-FELONY charge for me, which is unbelievable even now! He is strong and confident, a bulldog is what I say. I was arrested and taken to jail for two felony charges and a misdemeanor. I appeared before the judge the following day with one defense attorney that my wife hired that same day. But I was not released on bond from jail due to the two felony charges that were listed as "NO BOND". But within a few days, my wife found Attorney Richard Hornsby (Dbl Board Certified) and arranged for a bond hearing 5 days later. Due to emergency health problems on the way to court from the jail, I could not be present at the bond hearing (though I was required to be there). Attorney Richard Hornsby spoke with the judge handling my case and directed my wife on the stand and with me NOT PRESENT had me bonded out later that same day even though my two felony charges were listed as "NO BOND"! I am a resident from out of state and was arrested in FL with one of the charges being a felony. I knew I needed a good attorney and after dealing with Mr. Hornsby I now know I had the best. Hornsby was perfectly satisfactory in handling my first offense DUI case. He gave sound advice (including to enter Pretrial Diversion), took care of all legal details, was quickly available in-person or via email, and charges intermediate prices. I only met with him once, never had to go to court myself, and he even got rid of the speeding ticket involved!
