Modestly sized all-suites hotel foregoes myriad extras but packs in the style, comfort and value.. The Scene
A bit sleeker and more attractive than its sister hotel on Universal Blvd., this 125-suite property uses its landscape--incorporating glass blocks and flowers beds--to exude coolness, a clever touch to lure guests in from the Orlando heat. The absence of an overabundance of extras makes this the place for busy business travelers and on-the-go families who value comfort and price over private butlers.

The Details
The hotel does a great job of maximizing a few key amenities, such as ergonomically and technologically equipped workstations, wide-ranging laundry services and free shuttle to many Disney attractions, just two miles away. In many ways, the suites feel like corporate apartments, only less expensive and with no minimum stay. Caribbean color schemes of soft coral and whitewashed wood furnishings provide the backdrop for large spaces that include full kitchens. High-speed Internet access, concierge, senior rates and complimentary breakfast and newspaper are among the few trimmings that go a long way.
