Disappointing.
It's difficult to criticize art because it's very personal but City Arts Factory is supposed to be the center of Orlando's art scene. What it seems more like is a place where anyone can show their artwork if they pay a fee. Except for the seperate gallery rooms, most of the art is hung in the hallways which makes for difficult viewing especially if it's crowded. If the artwork at City Arts is supposed to represent the Orlando art scene it's no wonder it's not taken seriously. The majority of the art on display is mediocre at best and some is just bad. The owners of City Arts need to think about the image they are projecting as a source for art in Orlando and seek out some artists that can raise the level a bit.

In Short
Art connoisseurs experience diverse, visual mediums at this two-story gallery. The facility houses five art galleries, an art studio, a classroom and an 8,000-square-foot space for events and performing arts on the second floor. The décor has a hip, factory vibe mixed with a variety of artwork adoring the walls, including paintings 3D pieces and changing monthly exhibits.
