Definitely the most fun in Orlando... – There's so much to do in Orlando and this is really one restaurant everyone must visit - it's sooo fun! The atmosphere here is amazing and you're guaranteed to get up and dance after dinner..
Went with a group of 6 people last weekend and we shared the "family style" menu.. such a good concept as we were all open to share and try a little bit of everything. After dinner, the celebration began and the music turned up loud.. Thanks for a great time and we'll be back!
Tasty Greek food! – Yum! Taverna Opa's portions are very generous and the server I had was quite pleasant. The tzatziki was garlicy and delicious and the saganaki was quite flamboyant. Once the dancing kicked in it was even more fun!
Overrated – Having been to Greece 3 times, I would have to say the food here is a far cry from authentic. The chicken was dry and overseasoned. The salad was just wrong, and the Tzatziki was loaded with garlic.
Almost every meal I've had in Greece was so simple but so flavorful and fresh. This place just felt like a cheap American adaptation where the food was oversalted and just wrong.
Thank you for your feedback.
At Taverna Opa we do offer the most authentic Greek cuisine in Orlando. We would like to mention that not all of Greece is the same in cuisine style. Certain tzatziki dishes include more or less garlic depending on what region of Greece. Each chicken dish is different and we do apologize if it may have seemed dry (that is very unusual.) Our Greek Salad is almost a trademark of Taverna Opa. We import our Greek feta cheese and all the vegetable items are local market fresh. I do agree certain Greek dishes are salted due to the Mediterranean style especially sea salt. I do want to apologize for any inconvenience and our kitchen staff and Chef are always on top of the food items that come out to customers. I would really like to extend you a re-welcoming and a fresh start.

Best Steak & Seafood in ORLANDO – Walking by I see dancing and napkins in the air I say to myself this has got to be a fun place!!! Thinking just fun I was highly mistaken the food at this Greek restaurant was authentic and fantastic. I had a dish that was filled with different seafood like (shrimp, scallops, lobster tail ect..) and my friend had the Greek style beef tenderloins and it was to die for!!! I never would have imagined a place could be so much fun and have amazing food as well. The funny thing was I had no idea that it was going to be this good!!
Once again thank you for the ultimate dining experience and as your waiters taught me OPA!!!!
Thanks so much for choosing Taverna Opa and thank you also for taking the time to post this review. Your authentic feedback is greatly appreciated. We are very happy to see you enjoyed your time here at Taverna Opa.
Come back and visit us at your earliest convenience. Opa!
FUN FUN AND MORE FUN – The first time we went to Opa we were on our way to see Mamma Mia. Had we not purchased our movie tickets we probably would have just stayed. Instead we went to the movie and then returned after the movie for a snack. George & James could not have been more gracious to us. Intially, George recommended several items - all of which we enjoyed. We have been back several times and always have a great time. George always makes us feel welcome. I highly recommend Opa if you are willing to experience new food and make new friends.
Exciting! – First and foremost, if your not open minded and loud music bothers you this place is not for you. The place was very exciting the food was delicious and the total atompshere was fun. There were belly dancers and everyone dancing on your table, music was nice. The only bad thing which isn't that bad there is so much going on that when your ready to go, it does take awhile. But overall, my waitress was awesome the place was fun and the food was great.
Great food and fun! – Great atmosphere! If you want to have a fun and entertaining time, not just a quiet boring meal, this is the place. I went with a large group and everyone loved the food. In fact, the trip to Taverna Opa was the highlight of our 3-day business conference. They got most of us up dancing around the room before the food even came. The belly dancer was fun to watch; she performed about half the time that we were there. I thought the prices were very reasonable considering there was no need to order an appetizer. Most meals range from high teens to low 20's. I can?t wait to take my family to Taverna Opa on our next trip to Orlando.
TIp: If you like steak, the men in our group said the steak was excellent.
Bellydancers, servers and customers shimmy on tables while the DJ pipes in a mix of Greek to drum-heavy techno world beats. – The Scene
Servers urge patrons to let loose on tabletops at Taverna Opa, the latest addition to the tourist-dense Pointe Orlando. The mood is wild as a DJ blasts non-stop International dance tracks sprinkled with a few Spanish tunes.
You will have to point to your menu to order. If you'd like to chat over dinner, ask to be seated in the "quiet" dining room. Patrons are treated to fresh hummus, smashed at your table with a mortar and pestle, and the flaming cheese is served, well, on fire. Servers might try to sway you toward their meal of choice, but go with your gut. The chicken has a tendency to be dry but the lamb is consistently tender and always a popular menu choice.
Greek Hot Spot – Great service i felt like i was family, this Greek restaurant really dots all the i's and crosses all the t's. Professional and fun mixed in one, almost impossible to find in Orlando. The music is fantastic all the Greek- International tunes as well as the food we were dancing all night long. I had a seafood platter and my friend had the lamb chops. Both mouth watering and fantastic. Ill never forget this restaurant the great time i had so far has been unmatchable. So easy to get there as well parking was easy to i feel safe leaving my car in a garage.
Lastly ill never for get the ZORBA DANCE were i danced around the whole restaurant in a perfect circle ill never forget that i worked off my whole dinner.
