The interior is designed like a rundown south-of-the-border cantina, but the food is top-of-the-line Mexican.. In Short
Based on authentic food from the owner's native Guadalajara, Taquitos Jalisco's MetroWest location has become a favorite among Mexicans and Americans alike. Gauchos and senoritas serve up traditional plates like enchiladas three ways and mole poblano, and specialties like fish ceviche and camarones (shrimp) al chipotle. Don't fill up on chips and homemade salsa or yellow rice with melted cheese, without leaving room for the Postre Pelenque, a sweet fried tortilla topped with vanilla ice cream. Ole!

Excellent Mexican Cuisine. The company I work for hired a Mexican national to head up our Hispanic marketing efforts about three years ago. A few weeks after starting with us, he introduced me to Taquitos Jalisco. A friend of his from years earlier opened it. In his opinion, they serve the most authentic Mexican cuisine in town. I've eaten there, on average, once every two months ever since. The friendly staff seat you promptly (the weekend nights there can be a wait for a table) and the owner is there most days to make sure you enjoy your visit. I recommend the Burro Magnifico: a massive burrito with pablano peppers, beef, and the salsa negra (hot) poured over the top. My wife gets the same, but with the milder salsa tomatillo. Prices are reasonable and, in most cases, quantities are high. Live music on Friday and Saturday nights.
