You guys are some kinda 'kooks'..
Having eaten sushi ALL OVER the country and IN OTHERS as well, Fuji, for the price, is as GOOD as any I have ever eaten. Yes, I have had better, but NOT at any where NEAR the prices of Fuji.
Never had BAD service. Never had BAD fish or anything else SPOILED. So I cannot attest to the attitude of the management concerning something UNFIT. All I have ever had to offer to the management have been words of praise.
It is a small place and a tight fit at times. But there is a REASON for that: if the food was as bad as some of these comments would indicate, there WOULDN'T be anyone eating there. Yet it's ALWAYS packed at dinner time.
If you judge the quality of what you eat according to PRICE, right around the corner is a place that is TWICE the PRICE for HALF the quantity or quality, (so far as I am concerned). So if it's the environment that you seek, by all means, be willing to PAY for it.
Fuji, as offered by a previous poster, is much more 'down to earth' and much more resembles a TRUE sushi restaurant than some 'place to hang out'.
Keep up the good work guys.
Worst Service and Food.. I went to Fuji Sushi, quite an expensive restaurant. The place was packed and there was one seating hostess. As a teppan table FINALLY opened 45 minutes later, we were delayed seating even longer when the owner pulled her aside and started yelling at her for the way she put the menus on the table. We told him that it was all fine, and he scolded us too! The waitress was slow and horrible, not accomodating for us. The dragon roll was cold, the sushi moriawase was only 4 kinds of fish! The teppan chef was good. Too much butter in everything.
Great Food, Bad Service..
First off a lot of their rolls are cooked rolls. They need to market that better. You really have no clue when ordering if it is cooked or raw unless you ask.
The sushi and other foods were good over all. The service was slow. The appetizer came out with the entrees. That was kind of annoying. We shrugged it off though.
What really got us mad was the fact that they did not ask us if we wanted to order anything else before the kitchen closed. We had our hearts set on some dessert. When we were done with our dinner we were told the kitchen was closed and our only option was ice cream. When asked why we were not warned, the waitresses response was "you ordered so much food I did not think you were getting dessert". She was just plain rude. .
good food horrid service.
the restaurant is good along with the food--and nice little place...the service is horrendous...
the manager or owner is a very nasty person....all they care about is serving people adn rushing
them out-- they have no standards or care for their customers....selfish greedy nasty people...
they treat customers like dirt...do not correct mistakes....when their chef comes out, the flame
he places is so close to the patrons it is almost painful. they do this at teppan places, but
the chefs have been abusive in this place with regards to that. I hope they get shut down because
their service is just so bad. they refuse to give people "change" when they pay and lie and
claim they have no change. they are a money making machine and just a bad terrible venue
and restaurant.
