Do not order from Pizza Romas!!. Horrible, horrible food: We also decided to order from Pizza Roma because we were late getting back to the hotel and did not want to go back out to a restaurant. We called the order in at 6:50pm - 1 lg. pizza, meatball sub and Italian sub - and were told it would take 45 mins to an hour. We called back at 8:20pm and were told the driver was on his way. At 8:45pm, the driver called asking us to come down to the parking lot to pick up the food. We thought this was strange, and now we know why; turns out they are not allowed on the hotel premises. The food was absolutely horrid!!!! The meatballs were the frozen kind you can get in a big bag from a bulk warehouse store and there was no sauce. The Italian sub had ham and pepperoni, but the ham was one slice that was 3/8" thick and gristly. The pizza had this strange taste and was inedible. All of the food was lukewarm. Never again!!!!
Just ordered there on 2/26/2011 so they still suck.. My family and I are in Orlando for a business trip of mine. We were at our hotel trying to decide where to have supper after fighting some heavy traffic to get settled back in to our room. It was around 9PM and my wife suggests, "Let's just get pizza". The Roma's Pizza flyer was under the door so after reviewing it, the $23.50 deal with 1 XL, 2-topping pizza with 2 dinners and 3 cans of pop seemed adequate. My wife placed the order from our hotel room at 9:34 PM. After waiting hungrily for a long time, my wife calls in to find out what's the hold up. Rude female answers the phone and says with a short tone, "All of the orders have gone out, it should be there shortly". At 10:58 PM (1hr 24 minutes past original order time), the delivery driver calls us from the lobby to have us come down from the 10th floor to come get the pizza, (I have never had a delivery driver not come to the room when traveling before). At this point, I am pretty hungry, tired and frustrated with the whole process. I get dressed again and go down to the lobby. I forgot to mention, the "deal" is not $23.50 as it says on the menu, it is $28.50, hmmmm. $5.00 delivery charge? Anyway, I go down to get the food and pay the driver. After all this, I still gave him $30.00 and let him keep the change. I bring the food back up to the room and we get into the pizza. The extra large was no larger than any other chain's "Large". The pizza was incredibly thin, not crunchy, the mushrooms look like store bought from a can, and the pizza was incredibly bland. (maybe Ohio pizza is on a whole different level than Florida's?) We open the two meals which are supposed to be Chicken Parmesian and they are cheese ravioli dinners. My wife calls in again and tells the same rude female that the dinners are the wrong kind. Again, in a short tone, she tells my wife, "OK (in a long drawn out way) we will send new ones back out". Sounds accommodating right? Wrong, no one ever came back to our hotel that night and we fell asleep.This place sucks on many levels. As another commentor stated, this place relies on one-time service and doesn't need to deliver quality, speed, or value to get good repeat word-of-mouth references. This place apparently doesn't care in any way about the quality of their product or service.The menu says, "If you want hot pizza call us! Great food and fast service."Pizza hot? NOGreat food? NOFast Service? NOGood Value? NOThis place sucks and I hope a hurricane comes through here at some point and destroys only the shop and all the paperwork for their insurance policy.Sorry, maybe?
If you want to wait for hours and hours for cold food . . .. We are staying at the Hilton Grand Vacations at Sea World. We ordered because of a flyer left in our room. The "lady" that took the order was a total B*tch and didn't even say "thank you" or "good bye" (just hung up on me) when we called to order. That should have been the first clue. We were told it would be an hour (totally ridiculous) for our simple order, and after calling back it finally came after an hour and 45 minutes and of course it was cold and awful. Total waste of money! DO NOT waste YOUR money here! There are a lot of other places around.
TERRIBLE - learn from our mistake.
We ordered one pizza and one order of wings, based on a flyer stuck under our hotel room door several nights. They said 45 minutes, but it was an additional 25 minutes late delivering while my husband waited downstairs in the lobby. He was frustrated, so he paid cash and came upstairs. The pizza was stone cold and the wings were room temperature. I called the delivery driver back on his cell, but he wouldn't answer. I called the restaurant and the manager said, "Well, ma'am, there's nothing wrong with the order except the pizza is cold." I said, "Do you want to eat cold pizza?" I demanded my money back. He said another driver would be there within 30 minutes. After 35 minutes we called back and he was very ugly, saying, "30 minutes does not mean 29 minutes and 59 seconds". I couldn't believe it.
I called the driver again, and he said call the manager, which I had already done. We figured they weren't coming, it was now 11:30. I pulled toppings off half the pizza to make sure they wouldn't give it to someone else. They finally came, gave my husband a refund, and gave us three cans of Pepsi as compensation.
The front desk said they were trespassing to put flyers under doors. The delivery vehicle wouldn't park at the front door, and there was no sign on his car. SHADY, SHADY, SHADY...stay away! Wish I had read these reviews before we ordered. These jack-butts totally ruined our evening.
THE WORSE FOOD AND SERVICE'S. HOW CAN CITY SEARCH EVEN HAVE THIS BUSINESS HERE? THEY ARE THE WORSE OF THE WORSE.,AFTER ASKING FOR 5 DIFFERENTS MEAL'S ( THEY SAY NOT ANYMORE,COURSE IT WAS 9.45PM WHEN WE PLACE THE ORDER, WE PLACE A SIMPLE ONE ITEM ORDER(STROMBOLI SUPREME) IT WAS 12.17 AM AND WE DID NOT HEAR FROM THEN AT ALL. WHEN I DESIRE TO CALL IT WAS A BIG GAME,NO THE MANAGER IS NOT HERE BUT WHEN THE GUY ARRIVE AT YOUR DOOR HE WILL CALL THE MANAGER, FINALLY THE SO CALL MANAGER DESIRE TO SPEAK TO ME,VERY RUDE, HE JUST SAY VERY SIMPLE I AM SORY WE ARE BUSY BUT I'LL CHARGE YOU ONLY HALF,,HALF OF SOMETHING THAT IS NOT ONLY COLD BUT DIGUSTING AND SMELL LIKE CRAP, IT'S EMBARRACE THAT IN THE ORLANDO AREA WHERE SO MANY FAMILIES TRUST TO BE TREATED RIGHT AND FAIR THEY ALOUD THIS TYPE OF BUSINESS,AND COURSE I WILL LET THE HOTEL KNOW ALSO.PLEASE REVIEW THE LIST OF REAL RESTAURANT AND DONT MAKE YOUR SELF PART OF SOMETHING SO BAD! Staying in Orlando and decided to stay in and grab a pizza. Ordered a large pizza at 8:15 p.m. and was told it would be 45 minutes to an hour. Called again at 9:45 to see where pizza was, and was told the order had just left. Called again at 11:05 to suggest they keep the order and do creative things with it. Never once was there an appology about being late, nothing even remotely resembling customer service.
Try Flippers decent pizza and it actually arrives
Very, very, very TERRIBLE. If you are simply looking to wait for 2 1/2 hours for delivery of something Roma's would like to call food and is halfway between unhealthy and fatal you have found what you are looking for. Not only are the people unhelpful but they do whatever they can to inconvenience YOU! Pizza was delivered not even lukewarm but actually cold. Delivery driver called me to meet him to pick it up and then when i paid him $30 for a pizza and salad that was $20.78 he didn't even have change! How convenient. When i called the restaurant to complain i had to wait 10 minutes and then they simply hung up the phone. If you order late go with dominos- the number is 407 248 8434. Maybe it is not what you are looking for but please, for your own sake do not eat from this toxic waste storage area. The only reason they get 1 star is because you cannot give 0 stars. I have to go to the hospital for treatment now. Thanks Roma's i will be sure to spread the good word!
