The Worst – I had read online reviews that said the Beauty Spot doesn?t treat Groupon customers very well and I experienced it for my self today. They kept me waiting for over an hour for my treatment with no communication. When I went to the front desk to say that I was out of time and ask for my money back, I received no apology (and actually a good deal of attitude) and was told I could only have a credit. I will be eating that credit because there is no way I would consider going back there.
The Beauty Spot provided by far, the worst spa experience I have ever had.
Worst Spa Experience of My Life!!!! – I only gave this a rating of 1 because I had to...OMG! Where do I start?? My husband bought me the Groupon deal here for Christmas last year and I had a good experience with Monique. He then bought me the monthly membership for Valentine's Day. This is where it goes downhill...
My first appt in Feb for a facial was with a girl right out of school who does not know how to do extractions so I was not happy but I asked for a different esthetician the next time.
I arrive in March for my appt with Monique and she is not there and no one called me to tell me! What's worse is they lied and said they called?? At this point I asked for my membership to be canceled and the owner refused saying she would make it better.
This is where it gets so ugly and unprofessional...First of all, half the time they do not answer the phone and don't leave a message as no one will call you back. I tried booking with Jenni-the owner- but the staff says she only books her appts by text?? Is this a business? So no one would call me from the shop to book my appt and Jenni wouldn't return my texts. So, they are debiting my bank account each month for $50 but I can't book this appt to save my life. Still as I beg, no canceling my membership...
When I finally do get my appt after much hassle it was mediocre to say the least by the owner... I did my own extractions when I got home as she was not thorough.
Now we are in May and I call in to make my appt with Jenni and no one calls me back for a week so I text her (totally unprofessional business practice) and ask her when I can come in and she asks which day I want, I tell her and no reply? I text the next day, no reply and it goes on and on.
Now we are in June and I do not have my May appt yet that they already charged me for BTW and charged me for June too on June 1st. Finally, I am asking for my membership to be canceled AGAIN as my blood is boiling and it's refused. I had to start threatening a scene in the spa in order to get my May and June payment back. I called my bank to file a claim for "services not rendered".
The worst part is the owner was rude to me as if I did something wrong. She always had some lie of an excuse it seemed as to her extremely UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS like her computer system has been down, she had a flood. I'm not kidding either... She sounded like Casey Anthony as to why she could not just schedule my appt. How hard can it be? BTW I have worked in the spa industry and I know what great service looks like, you should feel good there from booking your appt to walking out the door, not here, you will get there and your provider isn't there and they won't be very apologetic about it.
In my opinion, this company does not care about their clients and have no clue about retaining them. Maybe the owner should not do Groupon promotions if she cannot retain new clients once she gets them. I would not recommend the membership either because they take your money and then treat you like you are not important to them by not answering the phone, not calling you back, putting brand new esty's to work with no experience and making you text to get an appt which they won't reply to either. Find another spa as you will probably feel the same way I did at this place, unhappy!
Best spa in town! – This spa is the cutest, girliest place! I absolutely love it!
If you want to go to a girly place where you really feel pampered and taken care of come to the beauty spot!
I went in thinking it was just a spa but they also have a boutique and their clothes are so cute! most of them are celebrity-worn designers but their prices are very reasonable.
i went in during their thursday "girls night out" evening, and they had sales everywhere, technicians doing free services for people and best of all...free margaritas in their back party room!!
i bought a spa package for $25!!
i will definitely be back next week since they do this every week.
Spa/boutique takes "pretty in pink" to a whole new level. – Posh spa and boutique takes the term pretty in pink to a whole new level. Pampering is what the doctor ordered at this College Park spa and shop. Once inside, pink takes over and patrons know that it’s a place for the ladies and the likes of Paris Hilton. The walls, chandeliers and even the tiled floors are pink. Besides the color choice, the boutique sells accessories and designer threads, including tops and dresses by Betsey Johnson. Relaxing services include organic facials, microdermabrasion, waxing, a Sabai stone massage and a luxurious caviar foot peel.
Total ONE STOP shop! – I recently discovered The Beauty Spot from a promotion they ran offering all these great services - facial, manicure, pedicure, massage, etc. - really super deal! ...So, I just have to say, every service was awesome!! Especially my facial.. Amanda rocks! The best part about it... The awesome jeans I found there! & they have my fave brand, Free People! Beware to any shop-a-holics because they have some of the coolest clothes ever! Reminds me of Threads on Park Ave, but better! Jill did my manicure & pedicure, & my nail color stayed much longer than usual. I can't wait to go back and bring some friends!
