I have lived in Orlando for years, and I use to go to a great salon, although pricey, on the very west side of town. However, after moving to the east side, I needed to find a new place, and finding a good salon seemed impossible. Over a two year period, I tried several places with nightmare results. Then I found Peter Jacob Salon in Avalon Park. My first visit to PJ was over a year ago. I was booked with Maria, and I've been going to her ever since. Maria always starts with a consultation, and then she works her magic. She has given me cuts, color, waxing, and most recently highlights, and I've always been pleased with the results. Sometimes I know exactly what I want, and she delivers. Other times, I'm open to a new look, and she comes up with something great. The salon itself has a nice environment. It is modern and fresh without being overly stuffy. They offer a lot of services, and the prices are very reasonable. You'll pay more than lower end salons, but not over-the-top like other high end salons. I have never written a review online for anything before, but I felt that Peter Jacob, and Maria, deserved the kudos.
Pros: Great service and environment; prices reasonable
Cons: Honestly nothing.

I live near Raleigh, NC, however I spend at least four months a year in Orlando. I have been receiving my hair services from Kathy Cabrera for the months I am in Orlando for many years, even prior to her the opening of her wonderful Peter Jacob Salon. I love the professional and curteours service I receive at Peter Jacob, and appreciate the wonderful atmosphere at Peter Jacob Salon. Kathy Cabrera is professional and uses only the most up to date techniques to cut, style and color my hair when I am in Orlando. A vist to the Peter Jacob Salon is a must if you are in the Orlando area! Tammy Duncan Raleigh, NC
