are about...
I will admit that when we filled out the ballot at an even we were under the impression it was to WIN a free trip, however when we got the call we were told upfront that this was a trip at a discounted rate. The girl who was selling us on the package was extremely nice and not pushy at all. She broke down the whole package for us and completely explained everything. When we told her that we were interested but the amount was out of our CC limit, she went and spoke with a supervisor and was able to make arrangements for us.
When we first got off the phone we instantly regretted it, but I am a travel agent and I know that the price we paid was a good price for the properties we are staying...not to mention the fact that we can go at anytime.
When we called back to actually make our reservations we worked with a very nice representative names Melanie, who friendly and answered all of our questions. She told us that for an additional $40.00 we can upgrade to actually stay at the resort that we would have to tour. $40 is a steal to upgrade from a hotel room to a condo...talk about the money we are going to save on food. I have done tons of research on the properties we will be staying at (were doing Orlando and Daytona), both have great reviews on Trip Advisor and are in a good location.
We leave next week and I am so excited! I will say I am not looking forward to the resort tour that we have to do, and I have heard comments that the sales reps are rude when you tell them you're not interested, but that is a downfall of the resort, not this company...
Don't automatically think it's a scam! Take the time and listen to what the sales rep says and ask as many questions as you can think of to make sure this is a good package for you...it's not for everyone!
Absolutely horrible! They're beyond rude and aggressive when you ask any questions pertaining to what may not be included in this "steal" of a deal. It's all lies. There are so many hidden fees and they don't include every detail until after you give your credit information. No one is a winner either, they select everyone who fills the raffle out. When asked to speak to a supervisor, I was denied. I luckily got my money back but their approach is horrible and they leave out so many details then hate when you have a complaint about it, they won't let you get a word in edge wise. Great customer service/sales approach....not! Melanie and Barbara are extremely rude and lack ANY people or customer service skills. Do NOT give in, save yourself the hassle and if anyone had an issue, contact the BBB like I and many others have.
Feedback so far....... Not sure about all these bad reviews. Maybe not understanding or listening to the initial phone call. My salesperson never said I am a "winner" "free" etc. He said, hey you have the opportunity to buy a discounted vacation, If you sit through a timeshare sales pitch. The discount price was a good price. I purchased it. I knew I had to buy plane tickets, food etc. One I booked, Melanie called me back to make my reservation. I called her a couple of times with questions and she was great. She called me back promptly and answered all my questions or concerns. My dates were available and I look foward to the trip. The next phase is how the trip goes. Up to this point, seems RTA did their part, provided a discounted trip. I don't think they lied about anything etc.
I'll give the bottom line.
I laughed as the person spoke how I should honored to win raffle....as I read reviews (20 mins into listening)...asked Do I NEEEDDD To give you money today right NOW.

Unprofessional, unethical and just plain awful. Oh boy! My son (21) signed up after a high pressured telephone call, convinced he "won" something. He wasn't too worried as he was told he could cancel in 30 days. This company did everything possible to insure the cancellation was delayed, refusing to mail the forms to our home, insultintg us when we called. An absolutely unprofessional, unethical company that only responds to aggresive tactics -you will waste a lot of time with these people, can't imagine how bad they are when you actually are a member!
Big time Rip-off.
I purchased a vacation package from Resort Tours and Accommodations to Orlando & Ft. Lauderdale Florida. I was given less days than my vacation package stated and had to purchase an extra day to match my plane reservations. The Hotels have hidden charges when you get there and are stuck with them. I was forced to go on more than one resort tour. Had to drive across town to attend one and with driving time, the as stated 90 minute tour lasted 4 hours.
Do not do business with Resort Tours...they sound good on the phone but when you get to your destination and are stuck with it you will regret it.

HAS TO BE A SCAM! NEEDED MONEY RIGHT THEN AND THERE!.
On August 6, my family and I went to the Regatta at Moraine State Park in Pennsylvania. While we were there, we signed up for a 5-day Florida Vacation Getaway. As we went to walk away from the tent, the guy said that if we were winners, we would get a phone call within the next couple of days.
The following Wednesday, August 10, we had received a phone call from a Florida Resort Tours number, but we were visiting my parents, so we didn't get the call. When we tried to call back, there was no answer. My boyfriend, Eric, and I tried to call throughout the next day, but there was still no answer.
The following day, August 11, Eric's phone started to ring and when he answered, the guy said that we had been chosen from the Florida Getaway Contest. I couldn't believe it and I was SO excited because I thought that we were going to go to Florida next Summer and have a great vacation. As the guy, Travis Peters, started to tell us where we would be going, I wrote everything down on a piece of paper. I had been to Florida once before, but I was so happy because we have a 4 y/o son and it would have been a perfect vacation for him. After Travis told us where we would be going, he said that the trip itself was estimated around $2,000 or so and I knew right then that there would be a catch. We were told that we'd have to pay $498 right then and there. Eric asked him why we would have to pay anything if it was a FREE trip and Travis said that someone else won the FREE trip and we won 80% off, so Eric told him we weren't interested and hung up.
A few minutes later, I had thought about it and realized that $498 wasn't that bad because 5 people were able to go and we could split the cost in half. I had Eric call Travis back, but when he called back, another lady answered. Eric explained our situation to the lady, which was that we couldn't pay for the trip right then because we had our bank card stolen and we were waiting for it to come in the mail, which it should have arrived within the next day or two. The lady said that they needed the money right then, but then had Travis get back on with Eric. Eric talked to Travis again, explained our situation, and explained that we would be able to book the trip, once we got our bank card back, since that is our only means of payment. Travis didn't want to hear that and ended up hanging up on Eric. When I tried to call him back, which was right after that, there was no answer.
What I don't understand is, if we were one of the few selected to get the trip at 80% off, why did the company need payment right then and there? It couldn't have waited another couple of days? Eric's sister even said that if we did win the trip and we had 18 months to take the trip, we should have 18 months until we had to pay for it.
Honestly, I just think it's a scam. If we did win the trip at 80% off, they should have understood that we were waiting for our bank card and could not pay at that moment. We should be able to call them a few days later to set up our vacation package, but Travis did want to hear that and hung up, which is very unprofessional.
Refunded My Money No Problem. As soon as I signed up for the trip, I realized I wouldn't have much to time to do all the traveling. I called Barbara Black and she was completely understanding and refunded my money. As long as you do it before the 30 days, its not a problem. You just got to be on the horn people! Im sure they provide good services with their lodging as well!
A Big Mistake. Please don't do it!!.
I am so disgusted with the level of disrespect this company has for members/potential members! I agree with the other reviews, Barbara is very unprofessional totally disrespectful. She will argue with the customer. What happened to customer service? the rule "customer is always right", well... your not in this company.
I havn't gotten the opportunity to take my trip. Like many others, I was given a call telling me I won this very inexpensive vacation, I was not ready to take a vacation at the time but I purchased the package/ with bonus vacation and was told I have 18mths to take the trips. This was last year around this time. Well I trying to book my vacation now, but are experiencing nothing but pain! I wish I would have read the reviews and did research before I paid for the trip. Barbara, I pray for you. If this is how you make your living, then do yourself a favor........ I can't write enough about my terrible phone experience with Barbara and the receptionist, they tried to send me to Melanie (I can't tell you about her), but thank God I read the reviews first. I pray that many others don't have to endure such bad experiences. Find another company while you can, you deserve the best. It is your hard earned money and all they care about is that they get it from you. I lost my $500+ but don't you. Many Blessing.............
A Great Investment. I am truely happy with my package. I recommend this package those who are courteous and flexible. I always call at the last minute, talk with Barbara, who has always been flexible with me. I don't know her, but if you are nice to her I'm sure she will respond well.
