Beautiful Atmosphere, Great Food!. My husband and I were on a romantic vacation and ate there for breakfast. The omlets were made to order and fabulous, my husband enjoyed fresh fruit and traditional breakfast foods. We felt as if we were eating in an outdoor courtyard, whiled being served really good coffee. There was soft music playing and the sound of the waterfall from the middle of the atrium. What a wonderful way to start a romantic holiday. I give our experience 5 stars. I might add, we didn't have reservations of any kind and we were still seated within 15 minutes. Thanks for a great breakfast!
Good food , but atmosphere lacking. when we arrived at the time of my reservation, I still had to wait even though there were plenty of tables available. We were seated at the far end of the restaurant-it seemed like miles from the buffet .Also the music from another restaurant nearby drowned out the soft /upscale feeling of the place. Also be prepared for a LONG walk to the restrooms. NONE inside the restaurant. You have to walk OUT of it ,around a corner, next to some game room in the hotel. In sum- the food is great, everything else subpar.
One of the best buffet's in Central Florida. Even if you dont stay at Gaylord Plams, the Villa de Flora Buffet is a worth while trip for any Disney/Universal visitor. Mostly mediterranian inspired flare, The food rises leaps and bounds above the 'banquet quality' you get at alot of buffets. Prime Rib and coconut shrimp with mango sauce were superb, the creamy tomato basil soup is A+ (be sure to add the cheese and pesto) AND most important.... be sure to save room for the dessert bar !!!!!! The flan, tiramisu, and tres leches all must be savored! Service is very friendly and a walk around the Gaylord Atrium is a great way to end the experience.
Taste the flavors of the Mediterranean in an elegant indoor-outdoor setting..
In Short
Housed in the St. Augustine atrium of the immaculate Gaylord Palms Resort, the bright and airy Villa de Flora is a favorite for both local and visiting brunch buffs. Winding buffet tables are stocked with seasonal foods inspired by French, Italian, Spanish and Greek cuisine, such as coq au vin, eggplant caponata, pollo con chorizo and moussaka with minced beef, depending on the day of the week. Enhance your meal with the house sangria for brunch, or try a classic bellini or Italian sunset, with Amaretto di Saronno, orange juice and grenadine.
