Orlando >Blue Martini
Discriminatory practices at the Blue Martini.
I am extremely disappointed in the discriminatory practices of the Blue Martini in Orlando. I have been a patron of this establishment for years and I purchased a VIP Card when they first opened. Much to my dismay I was not permitted entry in spite of also holding a VIP Card.
The dress code of the club has continued to go down for years, but I continued to frequent the club.
This night I had a couple of friends at the club and they asked me to join them. I mentioned I was not dressed properly for the club, i.e., I was wearing shorts and a collared shirt. They told me there were at least 3 men inside dressed in shorts. So I decided to drive to the club. I was *not* permitted to enter siting I was wearing shorts.
While talking to Security and a manager, I witnessed a man walking out of the establishment with sneakers, tee shirt and shorts. It appeared as though I was was discriminated against. The practices of the club are preferential and it appeared as though only "certain men" wearing shorts, tee shirt and sneakers were allowed to patronage the establishment while I was turned away.
This practice of selectively enforcing a dress code is DISCRIMINATION plain and simple.
UGH! This place is the worst. They pretend to be high class but actually have a bunch of RUDE ARROGANT people working there. The girl at the door was unbelievably rude to me and my husband. She acted like we were inconveniencing here by coming.
The bartenders are slow and spend most of the time just flirting with each other. Drinks are ridiculously overpriced and no better than what you would get at a biker bar on the corner street. If im going to be paying 18 dollars for a martini it needs to taste better than something I can get out of a box at the liquor store.
The music was awful. And when we left I asked the girl at the front if I could speak to her manager, she rolled her eyes at me and told me "He's busy inside. Call tomorrow." And when I asked her her name, she would not tell me.
I would not waste your time or money at this bar.
RESTAURANT STICKY FLOORS.
The restaurant food was good. I walked into the rest rooms and it was not clean.
The floors were sticky and felt my shoes sticking to the floors.
I did not expect this from blue martini's, I was shocked and the restroom and floors
WORST CLUB/RESTAURANT/PLACE. This place does not even deserve a star. I've been there before and front people are rude as hell. No customer service AT ALL. I went in with Timz shoes and i was told that they're boots. For them, those shoes are considered boots and they're not good enough for that club (that's how i felt). The *** told me that I needed to wear regular shoes (i was wearing classic kenneth cole jeans) to get in. I asked him what does he mean by regular shoes? he pointed to those long front shoes this doorman was wearing (looking like a clown) and his shoes (beat up shoes that makes Payless look real good). I laughed, told them i was concierge for a big resort (I AM) and that they just lost lots of business. That was just ridiculous. I have young guests who come to Orlando to party (they dont bring dress shoes lol) and im supposed to tell WHAT EXACTLY. That place is the WORST CLUB EVER, do not go there. The drinks are expensive and the glasses are real SMALL. Go figure! Im mad that i had to give them even 1 star. I will never go there again and I'll make sure no guests I speak with go there. Almost everybody I know has bad experiences there so what's the point. it's either your clothes, or the drinks are expensive in small glasses, or they serve you heated food when you eat there so what's the point. I will make sure I never go there and anybody I come in contact with. I come in contact with a lot of people Blue Martini. Believe that.
Blue Martini. I called ahead of time to ask about the dress code. I was told that a dress shirt, slacks, and shoes is appropriate. When I arrived with "a dress shirt, slacks, and shoes" I was told by an extremely rude and seemingly prejudice bouncer that my shoes were not "good enough" and that I was not allowed inside. I asked to speak to a manager. I waited about ten minutes for him to come out. The manger looked at my $100 new dress shoes and allowed me to enter after I was humiliated in front of my peers and everybody standing on line with no apologies what so ever. While waiting for the manager, I realized that I was not the only person to experience a lack of respect from the bouncers.
Most of the staff here are extremely RUDE. EXPENSIVE DRINKS. Bouncers are extremely rude. They don't know what they are doing. The bartenders are extremely rude and nasty.
black and blues martini. Boy,is this place disgusting. It certainly is not the classy place I expected. Also, why are the bouncers so rude.It is probably because they only make $10 an hour. Maybe someday the boucers will grow up, get some self esteem and get a real job. Yeah, your right look at them. They are too stupid for that.Stay away from this place. Its is bad news
Uneducated staff. Uneducated, ex-con like staff. Very aggressive, rude and not trained in being hospitable to affluent clientele. It would be a fantastic venue if they would shoot the dj and hire people that are used to being in high class environments. Bouncers are only interested in getting their $200.00 week paycheck so they can do coke and return to work and take it out on us. Managers need to be inserviced on guest relations. I am a young woman who has high expectations. Blue Martini is no Nikki Beach.
I can spend my money elsewhere. I went to this place for a birthday celebration with a large group of friends. The waitress took our credit cards for payment and brought back everyone else's card but mine. She lost it along the way. She was also very nonchalant about the matter and said it was a minor issue. After alot of ranting and raving, the manager came over and he ended up comping our drinks. Needless to say I had to cancel my card and wait 2 weeks to get a new one. I refuse to patronize an establishment that is careless about how they handle their customers' money.
Such a sad place!.
I have to admit, I'm very disappointed with the way they treat their guests at the entrance! A very rude and disrespectful way of handling the business.
Even if my friend wore shoes (Lacoste) that didn't comply with the "dress code" (which is no where to find on the website), that doesn't mean you have to tell me that if I take care of you for the rest of the night, you will let us in...
What a low level, poor security man! Are you that desperate?
Of course, after several times of calling and trying to contact the manager, I give up on that little Meat Market place.
I'm sure there are people who really enjoy going there, but just the fact that they want you to pay or offer them "other services" so they can do you a favor and let you in for something that is not stated anywhere, is just ridiculous!
Sorry guys. That place is really disappointing.
