CONSUMER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!. If you are thinking about leasing a rental property from Pam Tucker or her company Veteran Real Estate BEWARE!!!!! Pam Tucker and Veteran Real Estate have been known to keep most if not all of their tenants deposits for just regular wear and tear of the property. This company is NOT listed as an accredited company from the Better Business Bureau. I was a former tenant and rented property from Pam Tucker and her real estate company. Other than charging excessively HIGH rental prices, they tried retaining more than half of my rental deposit for a house I rented that was not cleaned when I moved in. This house was built in the 1950s so it was in no way a new house, it was renovated in the 1970s. I also know that they kept the previous tenant's deposit when he left the house. Pam rented a house to me over a period of a few years that needed several major repairs, a few to mention were the septic tank, electrical box and wiring of the house and a new A/C installation and hook up. These major repairs caused me to have to take a day off work each time because the major repairs took at least a day to complete. Pam Tucker tried keeping my deposit based off of regular wear and tear on the property and for replacing carpet that was already old when my family moved in the house. This is NOT a reputable real estate company and Pam Tucker is NOT a reputable Real Estate Agent. As a result of this I am going to have to take the landlords of the house I leased to small claims court to challenge them keeping my deposit. Pam Tucker and her company will try to get the most money out of their tenants that they can legally or illegally get away with. This agent and her company are unscrupulous and dishonest. Pam personally made false statments about the condition of the property as to justify keeping my deposit. Another thing that was incredibly petty of her was that she charged our security deposit $5.50 for the cost of her company sending us Certified Mail. How low and cheap can this woman be? Mailing expenses are the cost of doing business. There was no where in the lease where is states that the tenant must pay mailing expenses for notices. Yet Pam felt justified in taking $5.50 for mailings. CONSUMER BEWARE of Pam Tucker and Veteran Real Estate. Not a good company to work with, they are only after $$$$$$. I will NEVER do business with this company or Pam Tucker again. Make sure you research a real estate company throughly before engaging in any business dealings. There are companies like this one who try to take advantage of their tenants and customers.
