WORST PLACE EVER!!!!!. DO NOT GO HERE!!! I went in there with 2 of my friends, there was no one to greet us for 15 min. There was yelling for someone to come get us (ugh! so unprofessional). Then there were bugs in the soy sauce bottles, servers that couldn't speak english, then I saw the sushi chef blow his nose and went back to rolling sushi without washing his hands. Their staff were obnoxiously loud, the server did not check with us for refills. Our bill were really high too. BE WARNED, IF YOU LIKE FRUIT FLIES AND WATERED DOWN ENTREES THEN THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU.
This place tastes like butthole.
and it costs lots an lotsa.
our service was okay, but our food really tasted like dog buns.
don't go here. ever.
unless you like the taste of butthole in your mouth...
Horrible Horrible food and even worse Customer Service!!!.
I took my parents to dinner and we ordered about $80 worth of food (4 rolls and a dinner!! Talk about overpriced). The waitress barely looked at us all night and we thought the food was ok, not great not bad. However, during the night we all started to get sick. I called the restaurant to let them know about it and the manager was rude and yelled at me telling me I couldn't prove it.
DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE, the food is not good for the price and it will make you sick! and to top it all off, the customer service is horrendous! Skip it and go spend your hard earned money somewhere nicer where you won't get sick. and yelled at by their manager!
Name what?. I've been there three times. I absolutly loved it but i do not recommend it. The service was wonderful and the sushi was delicious. You could even buy the waitresses for a night! 500 bucks! Can you say cheapo di beppo? Definitly. Regardless of these things I do not recommend it. There was no green and no strippers. Sake doesnt cut it for booze and the chefs were speaking italian not japanese! ching chang chong! no no no! Well there it is. You got my review. Hope it was helpful
The "lunch special" is disgusting. It's all made early, so it's really not even fresh. I complained one time that the part of the bento box that my shrimp tempura roll was in had water in it, which made my sushi soggy, and the waitress told me that I can go to the other sushi restaurants in the area.
DO NOT GO HERE.
Pad Se Ew----HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!.
Whenever I pass by Bangkok Square it was always busy, so i decided to give it a try! On my first visit, i sat inside with friends. The service was ok, nothing great not terrible but kinda slow, but my food was really really good! My friends complained that they've had better there before but still said it was good. Now, I usually just order take-out and its just as good!
I'd recommend the Pad Se Ew. sooo good! Pad Thai is also excellent. Everything comes with a beautiful presentation! its very cute on the inside as well, nicely decorated. I don't know what the other person says about the flies running around, I always saw it was quite clean; never been to the bathroom though..
all-in-all---foods good, ambience is nice.....i go all the time now....!:D
One of the Few GOOD Japanese Restaurants around. And its not even Entirely Japanese!!.
Im not sure if they had a change in management or something, but their restaurant definitely picked up. I literally have been going there once a week if not for sushi, then for Thai food. Its close to campus where I graduated from and where my girlfriend goes to school.
Their food is excellent. Its fresh, its hot, and its delicious. We usually get the red curry and the Pad Thai, and with the sushi, we always get ATLEAST the white tuna and Yellowtail. Their servings for their sushi are generous and amazingly fresh. The White Tuna is AWESOME. Its plump, juicy, and literally tastes and feels like it just came off the fish. You MUST try the sticky rice and mango.
Their staff are very clean, very friendly, and very attractive. They are prompt, fast, and tend to each table as if its their only ones. We had a small mistake with a waitress, and she apologized accordingly and meant it. Ontop of that, she bought us desert (hence the sticky rice comment.) I can only imagine it must be hard for them to cater to so many college students but they do so with smile.
The management there is nice, we were sat at a random table and it was somewhat gloomy because of their atmosphere. The manager came up, lit a candle for our table, asked how we were doing and later asked if we wanted to move to a more lit booth. After dinner, he came around and asked how everything was.
The environment felt clean, and with the amount of customers inside, it felt lively.
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is desperately searching for a decent Japanese Restaurant in Orlando, which seems to be diminishing.
After dining in restaurants for a couple of years, I am certainly accustomed to the fact that most restaurants are not up to standards of health that we expect, but Bangkok Square is just taking it too far. While dining there, I found little flying and hopping things I did not want to find in the booth I was sitting in, and after changing seats, three more popped up in the next table. After all this, I decided to go to the restroom (which turn out to be the kitchen's restroom since there is nothing to indicate the end of the restaurant and the begining of the kitchen). After getting out of the restroom, I found out it was okay to walk back there in the kitchen and let me tell you, I feel as if there has never been a health inspector back there.
Dirty towels were next to prepared foods, dirty cups and silverware were almost touching other foods, I caught the chef LICKING and SLOBBERING the spoon and sticking it back into the food. It just made me lose my appetite. However after all this, I saw even more things little flying hopping things in the kitchen.
The food was mediocre Thai food. Not bad, but not great by any standard. And after seeing what I saw, I would say that it is just not worth it.
Rip-off, bad service, so-so food. Worst Thai in Orlando! Went there for lunch today with some coworkers and had a very disappointing second experience after deciding to give it a second shot. The waitress took 10 minutes to take drink orders, got some stuff wrong, but the biggest problem is the portion size. I'm a very light eater and usually need a to go box, so the fact that I was still hungry after eating the lunch special. I ordered their Green Curry Chicken that came with a salad and miso. The salad was the size of a coaster and served on the entree plate, the rice for the curry was approx. 4 tbsp, and the charge for extra rice was $1.50. All 4 of us felt like it was a poor choice for thai in the UCF area, even though the food wasn't really bad, just unremarkable. We usually go to Thai Singha in Waterford Lakes, and that's a fantastic value and overall experience every time.
