Austin?s seems to be the local hangout for the pretentious, pseudo-indie, scenester crowd. So while sipping my tolerable chi latte, I unfortunately had to endure the preteen political rhetoric of the strangely peculiar barista. All in all my experience was annoying.

• Cons: Place smells like fish in a paper bag.

I am always shocked and amazed when a patron of any any establishment has had any mishaps in their dining experience, and they would not take the time to speak with the employees or a manager,but take the time to write a review. As a 12 year veteran in the restaurant business and 7 years in management unfortunately an occasional dining experience can go wrong. As far as hair in a pastry that is unfortunate and we certainly are extremely conscious of not touching our hair while we work. We do however work with 5 different independent bakeries, and are helping them get their businesses off the ground. I will certainly speak with all of them but your scathing review of Austin's was certainly unfair. As a responsible reviewer, I recommend trying an establishment more than once before you give your opinion.

Hair in food, yuck!

I found a hair in my pastry and will never return. Coffee is average at best and food is overpriced. The art on display and the bands that preform are amateur. Decor is cool.
