I went there in Feb last year and Dr. Reed made me feel so comfortable. We spoke about different things and he helped me choose a better option on how to use my insurance and he gave me free contacts while mine were in the making. I was not able to pay upfront and he made me a payment plan to help me be able to get both contacts and eyeglasses. The selection of frames was not that big but I was helped a lot since I cannot see anything without visual aid. They gave me a handheld mirror so I could see what I was wearing and gave me tips on how to get frames for thick lenses. I ran out of contacts a while ago and have still been wearing my glasses but I plan on going back to get my eye exam and contacts again. He also gave me more information in case I was interested in Lasik. My experience was not at all bad. The wait time was kinda long but I can see why since he takes his time with each patient to ensure he answers all the questions.
I'd give them a 50/50 and say "eh, OK". I thought the staff was very nice and helpful; I thought Dr. Reed was a little scattered, his cell phone kept going off in his pocket during the exam, and I was surprised to see him actually check the phone twice during my child's exam; selection of frames were pretty good, definitly not as big as say LensCrafters; my biggest complaint is the off-site lab issue. I had my exam on a Saturday, it is now 9 days (including weekends) later, and my glasses are still not in (6 business days if you want to get technical). They said 7 - 10 days, I'm guessing that means business days. I'm tired of squinting. Otherwise, place is OK. Staff nice, selection good, Dr. Reed needs to be less scattered, and return of glasses needs to be quicker.
FABULOUS Doctor AND Technicians!!. I am very picky when it comes to doctors as my mother and father are both in the medical field. I have NEVER been more impressed with an eye doctor like I was with Dr. Reed!!! He was FABULOUS and his staff is just as good! The selection of frames they have to go along with your visit is just as fantastic. I have DEFINATELY added them to to my "don't miss" catagory and I confidently suggest each of you do the same!! :)
run from this eye doctor, RUN!!!!. Doctor Reed (doctor thats laughable) was a rude arrogant ass. Do not use this business. Poor everything. the list is too long. Poor customer service, a poor product, and got the only thing I really needed, proper glasses, wrong.
Failed in every aspect of a business. When you get a call from them stating your eyeglasses are ready, don't be surprise if they hand them to you broken. By that, I mean no inspection whatsoever. 60% of the paint from the bottom of the frame was MISSING. ETA was way off for replacement frames. Prescriptions are incorrect. Beside the obvious mistakes, customer service is horrible! Nobody apologized, was interrupted to be put on hold, had no idea what I was talking about and then expected me to know the name of the person who reordered as if that was my duty yet the girl never even gave me her own name. Don't they keep record of anything? Doctor told me I was "lucky" to get a refund. LUCKY to get my money back for BROKEN glasses and incorrect prescriptions for contacts and glasses. This place does not care about you as a customer and it is very obvious in the way they handle mistakes. Kept blaming VSP for broken frames. Although I told them that I understood that, I just didn't like the fact that I was told I could drive over there to pick them up to find out they were never taken out of the box and looked at. How is this not mandatory? Supposedly the glasses go through multiple inspections. However, nobody was shocked that mine were not inspected. Again, no apology. Does not take responsibility for their actions, no remorse. If you want to be treated like a human being who spent more than a couple hundred dollars then go anywhere else. Luckily I could get a refund. My many thanks doc.
