A Wonderful Dining Experience We recently dined at the Orlando Capital Grille located at Pointe Orlando. It was our 25th anniversary and we wanted to do something special. The people and food there really made that happen.

We arrived, were lead to our table, and were welcomed with red rose petals scattered across the white tablecloth. Our waiter, Brian D. (more about him later) welcomed us and then brought out two glasses of sparkling wine, compliments of the restaurant.

After covering the specials, we placed our orders and then just enjoyed the evening. For starters, the Lobster Bisque was delicious!!! Brian offered sherry, which enhanced the flavor even more. And the big chunk of lobster at the bottom was a taste treat.

We had the Halibut special and a Porcini Rubbed Delmonico and shared some Grilled Asparagus. All were perfectly cooked, delicious, and went well with the bottle of wine we selected.

The steak came in a 12 year aged Balsamic Vinaigrette reduction. We were curious as to what made “Balsamic” and asked Brian. He replied “I don’t know, but I will ask the chef.” Two minutes later he was back with the explanation from Chef Matt; what service!!! As well during the entire evening, the food service was impeccable. We’ve eaten at Michelin rated restaurants and the service here was as good.

The evening was wrapping up when one of the staff came up and asked if we would like a picture; we said yes, she took several, printed the best and brought it back to us as a very nice memento of our Anniversary Dinner. Again, the attention to details that makes great service...

We finished the meal off with a delicious Crème Brulee (which was among the best we’ve ever had; one of our strongest ratings for restaurants is their Brulee) and after dinner drinks.

Whether you want to celebrate a special occasion or just have a fine meal, we can strongly recommend Brian D. and the Capital Grill of Pointe Orlando.

Great food!. The Capital Grille has an amazing selection of food from the steak to the salmon you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Although the staff is very knowledgable in my 3 visits 2 of them have come off as rude, I'm not sure if it was just a bad day or something else but it did affect the atmosphere. This is still a place you've got to visit and when you do visit be sure to get the parmesan truffle fries as an appetizer!

Capital Grille Orlando. I brought a group of 10 other business associates to the Capital Grille Orlando location on Monday, 7-26-10 for a dinner visit. The food was excellent as expected but the wait staff surpassed any dining experience I have ever enjoyed. Anthony and his crew served our table and everyone involved commented on what a thoroughly professional job they did. They appeared when needed and stayed aside to let everyone enjoy the meal and conversation at other times. All agreed that this was one of if not the most enjoyable dining experiences ever. The evening was a complete success thanks to the staff at this restaurant.

Never Again. We ordered 2 Peppercorn Delmonicos and 1 Filet.

The Delmonicos were tough, chewy and difficult to cut, we did not eat them and they were removed from the bill. The Filet was tasteless and unremarkable.

The salads were swimming in dressing.

All in all, a huge waste of money , time and a huge embarassment while entertaining friends from Europe...... we will never eat there again, a total dissappointment.

Save your hard earned cash and go elsewhere.

Lovely Restaurant, Made our Anniversary Awesome!. I was devastated when I called my favorite restaurant, Manuel's on the 28th, to make a reservation for our 10th anniversary and learned that they had gone out of business. I asked many people for a good romantic restuarant, and got a few suggestions, but was not crazy about any of them. On a whim, I started surfing the web and came across the Capital Grille, and I am so glad I did! First, I was able to make reservations online which was very nice, and was able to make a special request, which I did, telling them we wanted a secluded table as it was our 10th anniversary. When we arrived, there was complimentary valet parking, which is nice since it is right at the entrance to Pointe Orlando. Upon entering, the hostess greeted us by name with a lovely smile, and wished us a happy anniversary. She escorted us to our table, which had been covered with red rose petals, which was a lovely touch. We ordered drinks, which came quickly and were outstanding, DH had a dirty martini which he said was very good, and I had one of their specialty drinks, The Bohemian, which was so good, I had another! It was similar to a bellini, a mixture of Absolut Peach, berry cordial and champagne, outstanding! Our server, Michelle, was very knowledgable, and made excellent recommendations. We had the Carpaccio & the calimari for appetizers, and there was plenty, we could have done with just one. I had the lobster bisque, which had huge chunks of lobster and a delicious sherry broth, DH had spinach salad, he said it was really good. For the entree DH had the Delmonico with some kind of cordial sauce and I had the filet with lobster in butter sauce, which was served over mashed potatoes (oh boy, nothing may be more yummy than rare steak, lobster & mashed potatoes all covered in buttery lemony sauce). Our steaks were cooked perfectly, just as we asked for them. For dessert we had Creme Brulee, which was plenty big for 2. The servings were so large, we brought home 1/2 the calamari and at least 1/4 of each of our dinners. The courses were well spread out, they were not running into each other, and we didn't feel rushed, which is nice, so many places try to speed you along. They also took our picture, and gave it to us at the end of the meal in a little cardboard folder, and wrote on the front the date, and the occasion, which I thought was very nice, a nice finishing touch. We were so full when we left, I thought I would burst, and everything was super good. We were there on a Friday night, at about 8:00, and while they were busy, the service was excellent, we never had to wait with an empty glass, or want for anything. The only possible con is that it is rather expensive, our total with 4 drinks, 2 appetizers, 2 dinners and 1 dessert and coffee was a bit over $200. I don't really think of that as a true con though, as I knew they were a more expensive restaurant going in, we spent what we expected to, but it is something to consder, this is not a cheap night of steak, but if I wanted that I would have gone to Outback, kwim? I will def go back for our next special occassion!

Award-winning steaks and first class service make for a four-star dining experience.. In Short
Richness and warmth radiate from the plush leather seating and mahogany trim. Whether patrons prefer the filet mignon or a 24-ounce porterhouse, the dry-aged beef is guaranteed to please and is the cornerstone of a menu that also features hand-cut chops and fresh seafood. With hundreds of selections, the wine list is also impressive.

The Capital Grill Does Not Dissappoint. The Capital Grill is a place to go if you need a meal of high quality. The greeting staff was professional and cordial and sat us as we arrive earlier than our schedule reservation. Our waitresses immediately appeared and offered their services with a clean uniform and a smile.

To start, I ordered the smoked salmon and as an entree, I ordered the lamb chops. Both courses had a beautiful presentation and the taste was out of this world. For desert, I had the chocolate espresso cake and a double espresso coffee.

The ambiance was that of a high class restaurant that was dark and full of laughter as all the other tables seemed to be enjoying their dinner experience as was I. I highly recommend The Capital Grill for a romantic dinner, a dinner party or even for a dinner if you expect great service and great food.

Best Steak I ever Had. The service was great, even though I thought they were weird at the door. The food was the best! I would recommend this place for a special occasion. The steak was big enough to share with my boyfriend. now thats a good deal. especially for a steak like that. it was expensive thought so be prepared for that.

Great food and customer service.. The food was fantastic! The service...even better! I have some food allergies and the manager, servers, and chef, went out of their way to make my meal a wonderful dining experience. No matter what the grade of meat is, if the chef doesn't know how to prepare it correctly, it will be " just another piece of meat". This was not " just a steak", it was a tender, juicy steak and it had good flavor. I like mine extra well done, not even a little pink on the inside, so it usually comes out either tough and dry, or it's under cooked. It was perfect. All I had to do was tell the server exactly how I wanted it and it came out right the first time. It had friendly, and yet, very professional, knowledgeable, service. They make you feel important, it's as if you are their only customer. I can see why reservations are suggested. This resturant is a class act!
