bad first impression. I've always enjoyed eating here but the servers need to learn how to hold their tongue if they're going to make a rude comment in front of customers. I could understand why they get upset because the restaurant gets busy but I'm a server who works in a bar that is twice as busy and I have never been rude to my own customers.

Citysearch Editorial Review. Urbanites and the after work crowd find pleasure in dunking huge portions of rolled delights filled with seafood, veggies, tempura or cream cheese in soy sauce at this bi-level restaurant in Downtown Orlando. The décor adds to the ambiance with its cozy white contemporary furnishings, posh couches and high-back booths and multi-colored acrylic paintings adorning the walls. Mosey on up to the sushi bar and order sake and take notes from the masters while watching chefs prepare nigiri, sashimi or makimono selections. Don’t forget to save room for dessert. The banana egg roll is to die for.

Best Sushi in Orlando!!!. Best sushi in Orlando by far! The volcano roll is my personal favorite and you can't beat the happy hour price. I eat here all the time. My husband and I love it!

If you want real sushi then don't go here. This place is way to americanized. The sushi was not bad but I sat at the bar and still had to order from the waiter, the waiter did not know what Hamachi was. I ordered Hamachi and he said he did not have any, I then asked if he had yellowtail and he said yes. The sushi was a little warm when if arrived, and it was just to frui frui. It was not bad it just was not great.

Best Sushi I've Had in Orlando. I went to Shari just last Friday with one of my girlfriends for lunch. Very friendly service, the BEST sushi I have had so far in Orlando...and I've eaten a lot of sushi at a lot of different places! I love the atmosphere: very hip, mod and trendy. The sushi rolls were excellent. We got the Coco Roll, Dragon Roll and Eel roll to name a few. The fish was super fresh. You get what you pay for. I am definitely taking my man here for Valentine's Day!

When it is Good, It's great!!. Shari can be h#t or miss!!!! The Toro Tartar is highly recommended, and if Toro is not available ask for it with regular tuna, it is amazing. I have enjoyed some of the freshest fish at Shari but on other occasions I received some stinky white tuna (not so fresh!!!!). The service and fish really does vary from day to day but I always end up going back. Seating can be a bit odd and the booths upstairs are much more comfortable for 2 rather than 4. The complimentary house appetizer is wonderful!

Best Sushi Restaurant hands down. No question.. I'm hesitant to give this place such a high rating - simply because I'm selfish and don't necessarily want everyone to find out about it! I have traveled all over the world and been to a lot of great sushi places - but this one is the best hands down. The staff is wonderful, the sushi is incredible, and the ambience is one of a kind. When you go, take advantage of the experienced wait staff and let them recommend dishes based on your taste. I don't see how anyone could write a bad review of this place - I'm skeptical of those that did because I have been going toShari for the last 3 years and have not had ONE even remotely unpleasant experience!

Gummy Rice, Bland Sushi. After puzzling over the choice of chairs that were more an exercise in visual design than comfortable seating, the appetizers started the meal off on a positive foot. But, when the Sushi came, the experience was all downhill from there. I've heard the quality at Shari is fairly variable, but I didn't imagine it would vary this far towards the dismal gustatory experience it turned out to be. Unless you like your Sushi bland (read: tasteless), this isn't the place to come.

Most people don't realize that the Sushi rice is hard to make. And the night I went, the consistency was way off into the gummy spectrum, and I think largely responsible for the blandness of the food. A real Sushi chef knows that if you can't make the rice, you have no business making the Sushi. The only roll that had any taste was wrapped in a huge chunk of avocado and tasted just like that: avocado. Sushi is an exercise in complementary tastes; overwhelming a roll with any single taste is an artistic and culinary failure.

The only positive thing I can say about the Sushi is that it didn't taste fishy.

If this place does, on some nights, reach an acceptable standard, then whoever is in charge of controlling the quality and consistency of the experience should be forced to find a new job.

Over priced and overated. This place does not have the food or service to math its price. The people are not very friendly. Could use better service.

The BEST!!!. Don't mind how small of a space your in. You wont even notice after you've ordered. The best sushi in Orlando by far.
