Australian tchotchkes and brews give this quintessentially American restaurant a distinctive Down Under flavor..
In Short
Boomerangs, Aussie flags, kangaroo portraits and faux aboriginal art honor the homeland's wilderness, but Outback delivers a polished version of rusticity with varnished blond-wood booths with matching wainscoting and casually uniformed waitstaff. Besides more than a half-dozen cuts of steak, diners can pick from large-portioned entrees like ribs, chops and shrimp or chicken "on the barbie." The Bloomin' Onion, a large onion dipped in batter and deep-fried, is an appetizer with a following.

Nice Steaks.
Although I've never been a big steak eater, I LOVED the 8 oz prime rib I had at Outback. It was cooked just right and was nice-n-juicy. My husband had the larger 16 oz which looked drier to me but he said it was good as well. Service has always been very professional on all our visits. With the bread, soup and/or salads that accompany the entrees, appetizers are not necessary. (Unless you're really hungry or can't resist the Bloomin Onion!)
