My family and I ate at Bubbalous last week, something we did about once a month, and after this last time we will NEVER eat there again.
I ordered the brisket and more than half of it was nothing but FAT. The rest was average, dry meat. Its really quite a simple act to trim the center strip of fat out of brisket, and most BBQ places do it. But their cook doesnt for some reason. Lazy, resentful, who knows but we will never be back and will advise everyone we know where NOT to go for good BBQ.
Open-pit, home cooking from the first family of BBQ..
The smell of hickory smoke--its tangy scent as dense as the humid Florida air--reaches diners from blocks away. They also cater to parties as large as 400 and can do buffets or fancy, sit-down plate service. Try the pork platter or one of the sandwiches--tender and juicy with just the right amount of smoky flavor. If barbecue isn't your bag, opt for another southern specialty like Brunswick stew. Novices should sample the mild sauce before deciding on the appropriate wattage.
Best barbeque with fresh sauces. I have found this particular Bubbalous to be the best. It has the best BBQ. But all of its sauces are made fresh daily. Service is quick but very friendly. Parking is easy but 12 noon is very busy for lunch. Call in ahead for pick orders or come a little early or late for lunch. We have ordered their party packs for friends, fellow employees. Comes with everything and people always are impressed with the food.
