Love the Dentistry..
I sincerely feel that I have found a great dental office, finally. Others I have visited provided half the service for twice the price. But Lake Mary Dental definitely does an awesome job with
their patients.
Everyone was very friendly each and every time I visited. I especially like the fact that you can see the results of your x-rays as soon as they are taken. That alone made me feel comfortable because I can see right away, that what they are saying is wrong with my teeth, is actually true.
All in all, the dental office is outstanding and I will definitely continue as a patient.…
Left but Returned- Other dental offices are NO comparison!.
Before coming to Lake Mary Dental the first time, I had only one cavity in over 40 years and had always received high praise from my hygenists. Upon my first visit to Lake Mary Dental, a had to have
the cavity redone and twice was "upsold" to more expensive debridement procedures before a "regular" cleaning would cut it. I cringed every time I went to the hygenist because she would chide me for not flossing daily.
So,....I tried two other dental offices. One had archaic x-ray equipment, and I was forced to take uncomfortable numerous x-rays. The exams, dental work and cleanings were sub-par as well. I have had chronic tooth pain after a cavity I had filled that they have been unable to remedy.
My husband went to the second dentist we chose. He had to get a cracked crown repaired and had some cavities filled that the new dentist found. The facilities were too small and understaffed, and the dentist was often distracted. On both visits, my husband was insufficiently numbed and experienced pain.
Within one week my husband was able to get in to Lake Mary Dental and see Dr Lall. Upon his examination, Dr. Lall found one filling done just a week earlier had already cracked and the new crown had been placed over a cavity! With the use of extensive digital x-rays and by focusing a digital camera over the area during the exam, Dr. Lall was able to show my husband exactly what he was seeing.
Both my husband and I will not be shopping for new dentists. We are now life-long patients of Lake Mary Dental. The office is well organized and well staffed. The equipment is state-of-the art, and exams from both the doctor and the hygenist are the most thorough you will ever receive.
By the way, when I see my new hygenist-- I will graciously accept his/her well-derserved condemnation when I don't floss every day like I should!…
Lake Mary Dental, unsure but happy I went back.
Overall, I was unsure about Lake Mary Dental until today. I went for my first visit about three months ago, to set up a new patient account. I was very impressed with Zenaida who took my xrays and
pictures of my teeth. After all the xrays and the oral exam were complete, I was told I could be squeezed in for a cleaning. Of course I obliged and went in for a cleaning with Marilyn. While Marilyn was very straight-forward and thorough, I was not overly happy with the periodontal exam that cost an extra $15.00 and the "specialized cleaning" for my gums (another $40) that was recommended. I felt as though my gums were in pretty good shape (seeing as they explained during the exam that if the hygienist says between numbers 1-3 you're in good shape, and 4/5 means you're in the red zone, and I had all 1-3). I really didn't want someone "irrigating my gums with a peroxide-like substance" to kill the "infection..." especially not for another $40.00 that my insurance wouldn't cover!
To their defense, they did explain that if my gums bleed a bit that they would always want to irrigate, and after arguing with Marilyn for about 10 minutes (literally, I felt REALLY uncomfortable, but it was definitely an argument) she finally went ahead and just cleaned my teeth the old fashioned way.
Overall, I am glad that this dental office really understands the dangers of not taking care of your mouth, gums, and teeth. Although I was really uncomfortable with the gum cleaning argument, Dr. Lall saw me, showed me a spot on my xrays, and recommended that I come back and get an old filling drilled because there was decay underneath it.
Today I went for the filling, and Dr. Lall was amazing. He was so comforting, very personable, and gentle. While I questioned whether or not I wanted to come back after the gum treatment argument, overall, I'm glad I did. In the future, if it is recommended that I have my gums irrigated, I may go for the treatment. For now, I'm making sure I floss and use mouthwash to hopefully avoid going back and needing the treatment.
The skinny on this place: they are definitely trying to up-sell you as much stuff as possible. Just remember as a patient (and as a consumer) you always have the right to say you don't want something, whether it be the toothbrush, invisaline, zoom whitening, etc. Lake Mary Dental is in a very high income area, and there are customers who walk in and want these things. Though I'm not one of those folks, I understand why LMD pitches the sales to everyone regardless of who you are. I know if I were in the dental business and had a ton of student loans, I'd do the same thing.
HOWEVER, if the owners of LMD ever read this review, as a person who isn't in a place to spend a lot on my dental work, it does make me feel a bit uncomfortable walking into an office that is trying to sell you things left and right. It made me feel like I might not be able to trust the dentist, and perhaps that the office might recommend superfluous procedures to get an extra buck out of me. Not that that is the case with this practice, but in this day and age there are a lot of dishonest people running businesses and the modern day consumer is extremely skeptical of any and all sales pitches.…
New Family Dentist Found. Lake Mary Dental is a quality business where comfort and care are at the top of their list. The atmosphere is friendly and nice while Ellis Fuller, D.D.S. was both knowledgeable and able to translate information. Also for instance, Zoraida, my technician was very courteous while taking my X-Rays (she even got me a cup of coffee). I know coffee at the dentist…
A great family dentist and great staff. After having many problems with dentists in the past 3 years, I was hesitant to try a new dentist. Boy, was I in for a treat. Great staff and office. Dr. Lall was very efficient and friendly. Terry did a great job with my cleaning, explaining everything to me. Asst Zoraida also was great. I will not hesitate to recommend them. Both my husband and I are patients and both of us are very pleased. I feel like we are a team and have the same goals of healthy teeth and gums.…
