Orlando >Sizler Indian Restaurant
SIMPLY THE BEST.
Dont know what these bad reviews are all about. Dont think these people have actually been in this restaurant. Possibly some local competitor trying to throw mud.
I say this because they DONT have any waitresses. They have a very nice your lad who runs his butt off to give great service.
The only female ive ever seen there was the owners daughter , who only helps out once in a blue moon.
Food wise , if you like your indian hot and flavourful , just like you get in europe , this is th place to be.
I have only tasted one other indian in this country who came close the this great food, and thats the khoorhinoor.
We found this restaurant by accident in 2008, and came back in Feb. 2009 during a business trip. Both visits were well worth it.
The lentil soup was the best I've had, spicy and colorful. I had nan bread with peas, lamb with potato in a spicy tomato-based sauce. My husband had the chicken Korma. Both were excellent. For dessert, I had mango ice cream, and my husband had pistachio /rose water ice cream. I also had Masala tea. The whole meal was a delightful blend of flavors, beginning to end.
The waitress was very attentive to our needs, and very polite and friendly.
We will definitely be back next trip.
Worst experience ever. We were a party of 4. The hostess comes and says in the most insulting arrogant manner that we have to wait for atleast 30 minutes. Then after 40+ minutes she comes and says that she has one table and 3 chairs. So my very annoyed husband said " So should I stand and eat?" , to which that lady says "I dont know, if you want to that is fine with me." We were so furious, but she didnt care to stop and apologise, she just walked away. I would highly not recommend this horrible horrible place
By far the worst restaurant I have ever been to. The service was awful. The waitress did not pay attention at all and did not even speak English. Our chaat arrived sooo late and was frozen cold. I have never eaten chaat this cold ever in my life. BAD!!! One woman sitting next to us had already paid and then never received her chai...she left without it. Sad...
One thing is for sure...we will never eat there ever again...and neither will any of my friends...
Terrible filthy restaurant. This is by far the worst indian restaurant I have been to in many ways. The food was not fresh at all - samosas that we ordered for appetizers tasted like they had been refried at least twice and the papdi chat had a bitter after taste (probably from using dirty oil). To make matters worse, halfway trhough the meal we found some type of insect (larger than a fly) in our veg. biryani! It was disgusting. I shudder to think what was in the food we had already eaten. The waitress had the audacity to tell us that she wouldn't charge us for the biryani when we showed her the insect. And, when we later peeked into the kitchen, we saw that it was revolting. The manager/owner was not on site, but called me the next day in response to my note threatening to call the health dept. He did not have much to say except that this had never happened before. It was not a pleasant start to our vacation.
