Save your money!. We went to this place because we had a gift card to use. It was really not good. It took at least 10 minutes to seat us when there were only about 4 tables in the restaurant sat at 6 on a friday evening. Took another 5 minutes to get a high chair for my daughter, seems they couldn't make up their mind about who was going to do it. The food was not good at all. The rice was so dry and bland, the queso dip was lumpy, the cheese in my enchiladas was the same cheese that was used in the queso dip. They were stuffed with big chunks of raw onions. The server was very slow, we went without drinks for long periods of time when the restaurant was virtually dead. I would not recommend and won't be back. It's not worth it for the drive or the prices.

Orlando's Best Mexican Food By Far!. We went to San Jose's the day it opened and have continued to go ever since! I am from Texas and as many know, has the best Mexican food. San Jose's is outstanding in both food and service! The staff remember us every time we come in and come by our table to ask how we are! A lot of restaurants in Orlando could learn from them!!! It is the best Mexican food in all of Orlando!

Our Favorite!. We have been visiting San Jose's for several years now, and it is by far the best mexican food in the area. The only problem we have had is that they get very busy, and the space is limited. But the food has always been top notch.

THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD EVER. WE LOVE THIS PLACE!. We go almost every Sunday after church for the Buffet... the food is oh so good. The people more so. We have been eating here for years and have NEVER been dissapointed by anything we have eaten. The menu is exensive, the buffet plentiful. The place is clean and fresh. Our only complaint would be the size, it is a small place and fills up fast during peak eating times, the wait can be 30 minutes long, but, oh so worth the wait. You will be waited on with great care and politeness. They make a point to remember you when returning. When you order a meat dish, you get meat, not peppers and onions as fillers... It is a must try, if you like Mexican, you will LOVE SAN JOSES... We love you guys! Jeff, Jane Josh and Justin

Excellent Mexican Food and Service. Upon reading the reviews of Citysearch, we decided to visit another Mexican restaurant besides this one. We stopped at a plaza and had a conversation with a couple who recommended San Jose. We then decided to try it out, and we are glad we did. The restaurant is modestly located in a shopping plaza with the likes of Red Lobster, and other major chained restaurants. I went with two friends and 5 children. The staff immediately greeted us and sat us. The waitress was warm, friendly, and extremely helpful. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. The food was GREAT! I can honestly say that it is one of the best Mexican places I have ever been. I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who desires authentic Mexican cuisine.

Great Food Anytime-Excellent Service. My wife and I come from Texas and are used to authentic Mexican food and San Jose's is just that. Mexican food by far is not Spicy/hot with chile burning your mouth. It is tasty and the spices and chile can be added to your taste. I hear lots of people that are turned off of Mexican food because it's too spicy, too much red chile. The real Mexican food is found at San Jose's at a reasonable price and plenty of it. The owners are family and they work the restaurant to make your expectation of a great meal come true. We've been going there 2 or 3 times a week at times and enjoy the food, the service, and the reasonable prices. We travel from Clermont and to travel that far only means that the food and service has to be good. We're going to miss going there shortly as they are opening another San Jose's restaurant very soon at the Publix shopping center off Hwy. 27 close to LEGENDS. Just think when you go to eat at a restaurant, how clean are the restaurants? Their rest rooms and the restaurant as a whole are very clean. They are just great.

Best Mexican Food in Orlando!!!. This Mexican restaurant is the best in Orlando. The homestyle flavoring is outstanding. My husband and I were there the day they opened and have been raving fans ever since! The service is excellent and we are remembered each time that we come in. We travel across town to eat there. I am from Texas where there is an excellent mexican restaurant on every corner. San Joses is definitely one of the very best. The prices are very reasonable and the amount of food you get is quite a bit.

Bad Bland Food. Went there based on the reviews stating it was "authentic" Mexican with reasonable prices. NOT! We should have left when we saw a California burrito and Texas Fajitas on the menu. I ordered a chicken mole ($11.95) and it was so bad I had to send it back. I've had lots of mole dishes in restaurants all over including Mexico, and this tasted nothing like any I've ever had. It was so incredibly bland- the chicken tasted like it had been boiled in unseasoned water, the mole looked like thin brown water spooned over the chicken and tasted equally bland. I then ordered a pork in chile verde (again $11.95), which was OK, but again, nothing to rave about. I make it better myself. My husband ordered the Texas Fajitas which was barely OK, but hardly worth the $16.95 price in both quality and quantity. Their prices are very high for Mexican food, and $4.25 for a Mexican beer is ridiculous. I don't understand how anyone can rave about this restaurant. If you want really good authentic Mexican for a much lower price, travel a couple of miles west to Winter Garden. There's a bunch of them there, especially Tacos Jalisco, which admittedly has slipped in the last couple of years, but is still worlds better than San Jose's in terms of authenticity, taste and price.
