Orlando >Food & Dining > Hue
Great Place!. I moved from Manhattan a a few years ago, and as such I've dined in many of the best restaurants... I really like HUE. It's something that Orlando desprately needs, and it does it well. Perfect, no. But this IS Orlando, right? The crowd is yuppie-ish and stylish. The place is quite stylish and the food is very good (and pricey). I just moved across the street from this place and eat here somewhat often. The sunday bloody mary brunch is very good and the after work scene is nice, too. Weekend dinners are packed.... I'd avoid it then. Overall, give it a shot and remember -- this is still Orlando, everything is relevant!
Celebrated Thornton Park restaurant redefines Orlando dining with inventive New American dishes..
Neutral colors combined with inventive fixtures and recessed lighting give the dining room an understated, modern feel. A mix of neighborhood regulars and interested outsiders show up for lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch. Happy-hour crowds begin the evening early with cocktails and appetizers at the bar. The menu is driven by an inventive mix of New American standards--seared tuna, wood-grilled meats and fishes--and a wide-ranging selection of small plates for sampling.
Just Do Cocktails. This place has a great atmosphere and great cocktails....but don't waste your time with dinner or even lunch. The food is sub-standard and the staff in average at best. I used to be a HUGE fan of this restaurant when it opened, but something has changed (the service has never been good though). It has become much more expensive, the portions are 1/3 of the size they used to be, the produce is rarely fresh and the fish tastes like it was bought by someone off the side of the road! Try Shari for dinner next door!
Happin urban eatery. I have eaten at many restuarants across the country and in major cities, ,this establishment is one of the best. The food has been consistently good -excellent and the wait staff superb. One standout in particular is Jody. He is there when you require something but never hovers. He knows the menu well, has good suggestions for wine pairing and is an all-round delight. We always ask for his area whenever we are there. The best
